a story from patanjali yoga sutras

It reminds me of a beautiful story from yogasutras from patanjali .

 

It was raining heavily. A sparrow was sitting in its house on a tree branch.

cozy, warm and happy. suddenly saw a monkey on another tree branch getting

all wet and shivering in the rain. Out of good will sparrow took pity for the

monkey, and wanted share its knowledge, and tells the monkey with an

affectionate tone "my dear monkey , see when the weather was good I worked very

hard collecting little twigs from trees with my little beak ,and build this

beautiful house for me and my little ones, so today I am warm and comfortable .

You are more powerful than me since you have two extra hands. you can even

build a better and stronger house than me , so please do so, so that in the

next rainy season, you can also sit comfortably in your house when it rains. I

feel so sad to see you shivering in this rain.

The monkey got pretty upset with her talk and said who are you to tell me you

fool, for trying to teach me what is good for me ,I will break your home and

teach you a lesson, and immediately runs to the sparrows house and destroys it.

 

Poor sparrow cursed it self for advising the wrong person
