Guest guest
Dear Vijayadas, I am eager to see the reply to your question as well. Nevertheless, there is an assumption in your question, and I would like you to clarify that. I am still unclear about your exact - classics supported - definition or definitions of Rasi. I know you have said that Rasi has multiple different meanings based on context. Keeping that in mind, what definition do you ascribe to the "Rasi" of "Rasi Dristi" and why? Does Rasi mean "zodiacal sign" in this context? Havent the sages have said that Aries has Rasi Dristi on Leo? What is your interpretation of their intent in this context? _IF_ they simply mean Aries zodiacal sign has Rasi Dristi on Leo zodiacal sign, then it follows that if an amsha is associated with a zodiacal sign, then since the zodiacal sign aspects other zodiacal signs due to their very nature, then Aries amsha SHOULD have Rasi dristi on Leo Amsha, even if you dont support amshas being associated with houses. However, _IF_ they mean Aries-in-Rasi-chart has Rasi Dristi on Leo-in-Rasi-chart, then of course your question to Sanjay Rathji is still valid, but you would then need to specify clearly where in the classics this unambiguous interpretation has been given - that when the sages referred to Rasi dristi, they mean Rasi-chart-dristi. Is there such an unambiguous shloka anywhere - I know no Sanskrit at all - so this question is a genuine question, not a challenge. Hope this turns out to be an illuminating exchange for everyone. Guest guest
Dear Shri Sundeep Rashi is always a Rashi or Sign and is thus the aadhara. But rashi is assigned with the role of bhava based on lagna. This is aadheya. Now what i said was,the first division of a Rashi has also the span of Rashi or is a full rashi. We got confused because rashi/kshethra/bhava were used in a mixed fashion. But even this confusion can be avoided if we use the proper word called kshethra. Then the first division points to the kshethra of a planet.Example kshethra of mars if the planet fall in aries or scorpio. Other amshas can be Hora of Sun /Moon ,Navamsha of Mercury etc. Rashi drishti is an aspect between two aadharas or signs and hence the aspect is static. Thus it exactly means two signs are aspecting each other.Based on mutual disposition they aspect each other.Dwiswabhava signs aspect each other but for chara and sthira we cannot form such a rule. If planets are placed in those rashis then they too have mutual interactions. Now an amsha of a rashi can have a relationship with its lord, but this different from a special or full aspect. This is all i know.Hope other learned members will throw more light and we learn together. Thanks for your mail and questions. Thanks to Panditji for sharing his understanding.
