Dear Jyothi:

I think the Moon, is also important, because it, representing the Mind,

receives the direct, reflections of the Sun...

Like that, our Mind's, do receive the direct reflections of our soul's, or

awarenesss, which is the Sun.....

And, because Jyotish and India, have had many centuries, even thousands of

years, of utilizing Jyotish, their emphasis, is on all the practical areas of

the life...

The Moon, then, is involved in this because Jyotish understands that where our

Moon's are, represent's where our very important, mind, focus is in this

life....

2. Why is sun considered as a malefic if it helps

Don't get too bogged down, with the classification of maleficness.

All the planets can be found acting malefically at times.

The Sun's described 'malefically' sometimes, when either it's in a more malefic

house, 6th, 8th or 12th, or when it's especially too close to planets,

especially combustion.

The Sun, can be important for spiritual progress, but even Jupiter can act

malefic, under certain circumstances.

Saturn, generally, is described in this way.

Very fun, and fascinating story. I think that this story, shows just how

important the field of Astrology really is.

People really related to the symbolisms of their chart's, and it's up to us, to

show them, the more subtle details, so that they begin to take Astrology,

especially Jyotish more seriously.
