Dear Narasimha,

Greetings,

You got me wrong.I was not leveling any allegation against anyone.I was just

echoing my own as well as the feelings of several astrologers and students of

Jyotish. The man who foresaw defeat for Blair in EST wrote in STAR, latest

issue, a relatively unknown magazine , that given the circumstances, Blair

might win. Those who could read between the lines could clearly see the

underlying idea.Had Blair failed, he would have cited his article in EST as a

testimony of his predictive efficacy;now he could point out to the article in"

Star' and claim infallibility. This he had been doing so since years. It doesn't

matter, if someone wants to superimpose & claim superiority over other

astrologers by saying "I have given thousands of successful prediction" ;but

the point is , in the process, he never forgets to take a dig at the genuine

astrologers, hushing up his own feeble mastery of the

subject.

It is not the intention of Kid to malign anyone.Kid is a chip of the old block,

who believes, humility and intellectual honesty are pre-requisites for studying

a complex and divine subject such as jyotish.

If false claims, baseless allegations against other astrologers and ballooned

ego are the virtues to be followed, Kid stands badly condemned.

I don't to EST and do not recognize the person you are talking about.

Dishonesty is a basic human problem that arises out of ego. When we ourselves

have not overcome our ego, why should we find fault with others for being

egoistic and hence dishonest?

If you want to change this, why don't you set the correct precedent instead of complaining?

Secondly, it is not yet clear what future holds for Blair. Some commentators

think that he will leave before the end of this year. Though I personally feel

that he will stay after overcoming the discontent, it is quite possible that

the gentleman you are criticizing ends up being correct in the end!

Dear Kid,

> You got me wrong.

You too got me wrong.

My point was that people are the way they are and we can't change them. We can

try to make a difference with OUR behavior.

I completely agree with you.

Even if one gathers name, fame and following with a raajasik and taamasik

approach, it cannot last long. Only sattwa can have a long-lasting triumph.

Other gunas can only triumph in the short run.
