Guest guest
Respected Gurujis, Last week, my brother had bought a CD of Horoscope analysis (think it was by BV Raman, dont remember exactly). When I entered my birth time in it and checked the planetary positions it was found that Mercury and Jupiter has jumped one sign ahead from the positions actually present in my horoscope. (My DOB: 01/10/1975, TOB: 11.41 pm) In Jagannath Hora which I downloaded from the site showed Mercury as Atma karaka and Jupiter as Amatya karaka. And I was relying the predictions based on that. But in the software my brother bought Mercury is in 1 degree some minutes(in my actual horoscope it was 29 degree 32 minutes 03 secs). And I found that no Bhadra yoga was there due to jumping of one sign. My lagna is Gemini. Which should I believe? If this happens (jumping of signs) I see that I miss many of the important yogas that were actually present in my horoscope. My brother who always criticise my belief in astrology, asked me " see this is the case. How can u rely upon such a science if same biirth time shows different planetary positions?" I want to give him a correct answer. How can I determine the actual position of planets? Scholars please help me. Regards, Jyothi.
Guest guest
It often happens to persons having planets at cusp (eg. 1 deg of Gemini or 29 deg of Taurus). Their planets jump to next/previous house if chart are made by using different anyamasa. If CD your brother brought, having default Raman anyamas (DR. B.V. Raman) is used and compared with Jhora default Lahiri anyamsa (which is 1 deg 27 min greater than Raman anyamsa) you obiously get jumping of planets. Tell your brother even the pathological test of same blood sample in two different labs are sometime have different values of blood ingredients, which is due to personal, technical error of the lab concerned. Bur it does not make one to conclude that pathology is not a science. I hope using different anayamnsa one may gfet jupming of planets and also the shifts in dasa/antardasa/pratyantar dasas as well. with best wishes, regards shy jyothi_lakshmi_b <jyothi_lakshmi_b (AT) (DOT) co.in> wrote: Respected Gurujis, Last week, my brother had bought a CD of Horoscope analysis (think it was by BV Raman, dont remember exactly). Guest guest
Dear Shyamji and Jyoti, Namaskar, The problem you have described , is the same case with me. Some software shows my lagna as taurus and some show it as mesh lagna. But i have confirmed it to mesh lagna by using nadi joshiyam. Guest guest
If the ayanamsa and coordinates are the same, theoretically, all software worth their salt should give the same lagna and planetary positions. The algorithm is stellar, but not rocket science Regarding the 'scientific' nature of things, I was reminded of a case when a friend of mine had seen two gynecologists when pregnant, and both got the gender differently following an ultrasound scan. Either the machine's imagery was wrong, or the doctor's mental imagery. If I was you, I would change the brother instead of the software. Take it easy, PJ jyothi_lakshmi_b <jyothi_lakshmi_b (AT) (DOT) co.in> wrote: Respected Gurujis, Last week, my brother had bought a CD of Horoscope analysis (think it was by BV Raman, dont remember exactly).
