Shri Sourav's response is mature and appropriate in a group scenario.

 

if u weigh - two years' of intense study

or twenty years' of rote (read.. 'experience')

the answer is obvious:

knowledge / experience gathered from two years' intense study

can be more incisive than one year's rote turned over 20 times

(read.. twenty years' experience)

 

a younger chess player is not necessarily less capable because he

has looked at much less number of 'boards'

 

BTW.. can we move away from parliament type debates that offer

no value addition to the core mission of this group?

 

or.. members are better off digging archives of the earliest msgs of

this group..
