Dear Ashvin:

There are a few dangerous points in this person's chart that are both responsible for his

situation, and indicative of what he needs to do!

#1, He was born on a New Moon, so emotionally he's very sensitive and vulnerable.

(Strengthening his Moon, is very important)

#2, His Saturn, though it's in it's Own Sign, Aquarius, still is fully aspecting

the Sun, & Moon,

which are both in Aries.

#3, Violence is often due to Mars, and his Mars fully aspects his Saturn, which then carries

it's vibration through Saturn to the Sun & Moon.

#4 Finally his Mercury is in Pisces, which means decison makings are challenging.

So, strengthening his Mercury is important.

If he does #1, and #4, and especially Strengthens his Saturn to make sure it's

aspects aren't malefic, will be very good.

Finally, on this day, 18th or 19th...you listed both days? Which was the one he

tried to commit suicide?

On the 18th, the Moon was being fully aspected by Exalted Mars....which makes

one feel like a violent or Marish solution is the main possibility.

Also, Mercury is again debilitated in Pisces, like during his birth chart...

So, that familiarity can represent a potential dangerous time.

HAVE your friend examine whether he's most upset, during typical aggravated Moon times,

like New Moons, and especially when SAturn's aspecting, like today, and next 2 days!

Dear Mark,

Namaskar. I think you have incorporated the wrong

time/longitude in your software and your chart does not match with

the chart I find in the JHora. Here is what I have to say.

 

There is a Guruchandala Yoga in the Ascendant with Ra and Ju (Ju is

9L and is a functional malefic). Ra is at 22deg15' and Ascendant is

at 21deg 16' So we have a 1-degree closeness. Ra is also in the D-9

ascendant and is under paapakartari between Ma and Mo. The native is

born in Amavasya tithi and hence Mo is very malefic (and hence

should not be strengthened !! ) Mo joins LL and AK Venus in the 12L

house (dusthana) and is combust. The only benefic here in exalted

Sun and I believe is protecting the Native. Malefic upagrahas Gulika

and Mandi are also not helping here. However, note that Su and Ma

are in a parivartana and the parivartana of the 12L and 4L is not

ideal and indicated suffering and loss of happiness. Infact, due to

parivartana Ma should be regarded as located in the 12H afflicting

the LL.

 

Saturn is a yogakaraka and is strongly placed in the 10H in Aquarius

giving a Sasa Mahapurusha yoga giving the native tendencies towards

ascetic life and hard work. I believe Sa is a very benefic planet in

this case. However, Saturn is debilitated in the Navamsa and is not

so powerful or protective. Saturn is also the Badhakesha of the

Lagna and can cause problems in its sub period. Mercury is the lord

of the 2H of sustenance and 5H of intelligence which is afflicted by

aspect of Rahu. Mercury is the karaka for learning ability and is a

bridge between Intelligence or Buddhi (Ju) and Mind or Manas (Mo).

Me is debilitated, Mo in a dire malefic and Ju is afflicted. Hence,

there is a possibility of mental instability in the native. Me does

not receive neechabhanga.

The last point I want to make is that this is a clear case of Sarpa

yoga (not to be confused with kaalasarpayoga) as there are natural

malefics in all the kendras.

 

The running dasa at the date of the attempted suicide is, Ma-Ju-Sa-

Ke. Three of the planets in volved in the Sarpa yoga are operative,

and Ju (functional malefic) which is also the 8L of death and

disease is also involved. This explains the severe depression of the

Native.

 

I will suggest the remedy of the native himself chanting the

Mrityunjaya Mantra or someone else chanting it for him in his

presence.

 

I am guessing the reason why the native attempted suicide. Is it due

to marriage or relatives by any chance ??
