Mer/Sat Dasha-To Praveen Jee

Much has been said about the so called evils of Mer-Sat dasha.My question is can

we generalize? For e.g. for Tula lagna -Sat is yogakarak and Mer is

bhagyadhipati.For a particular chart where sat and mercury are both powerful by

shadbala strength, would you still predict tough situation is Mer-sat

Alert!Dear Friends:I thought the last few days would be feeling much better as

the Moon rushedpast the Sun.But that feeling of dread, and invasion upon the

Moon feeling, continueingmade me wonderthis morning.So, wanted to remind you of

several Transits, currently going on....Sun's at the 27th degree of

Pisces, today. Which should be good becauseit's moving towardsit's sign of

Exaltation...But, there's 2 simultaneous Transit influences which should be

remembered.RAhu's presently running at the 28th degree of Pisces, so Rahu & Sun

beingonly 1 degree apart, is important.Also, Saturn's also influencing the Sun,

specifically the 26th degree, dueto it's 10th house influence from

Gemini.Saturn's at the 26:50 degree of Gemini, so that 10th house aspect upon

theSun, may be the other main reason why one....might feel rough,....today

andperhaps tomorrow...Even though Moon has moved into it's Sign of Exaltation

in Taurus this am!Benefic - Positive Trends...Mars is still Exalted,....so

great time to still do, and begin!Moon is also Exalted, well, at least for

several days....And Sun is after all, only 2 days away from it's Exaltation on

the 13th,moving into Aries, as it does!So,

mixture of positive and negative.Utilize this time to take advantage of the

positive, and at the same time,understand and not buy into the

negatives....Good advice now, especially if you're feeling this strange, "bit

in yourstomach", Rahu and Saturn's influence upon the Sun....means.... take

more time, to rest, to recuperate, at night, in slightlybetter

meditations,...etc!Learning to 'feel' what is happening within us!Is a great

benefit of Jyotish for us!Then, when we identify the planets that are

especially causing us somemischief, or grief;then, adapting, and doing

something to pay hommage to the wisdom of thoseplanets...As in this case Saturn

and Rahu..... will help us "weather the storms".....Speaking of storms...Did any

of you have huge electrical storms, like I did, here?Huge bolts of lightning

striking from the top of the sky, to the horizon,for

hours....Exactly as the Moon, was moving across the transit, (21st degree

ofAries),...or path of the Exalted Mars,...at the 21st degree of

Capricorn....Verrrry interesting.....It's going to be really something when

things rapidly improve over the nextweek or two.It won't even feel familiar to

this most recent intensity,.... of Eclipseand New Moon energy!Sun will be

Exalted, in 2 days!....and Mars will remain in Exaltation tillApril 23rd!Though

Mars in Aquarius tends also to be very good.... since it's the othersign that

I am doubtful about your last sentence that one may die in the dasa oflagnesh. A

small study of 30 cases done by me sometime back showed themarak dasa as

below:-4 cases in dasa of 2nd lord6 cases in dasa of 7th lord7 cases in dasa of

Rahu4 cases in dasa of Ketuand 9 cases in dasa of others not one of which was

the lagnesh.I therefore donot think lagnesh would be marak unless there
