Dear Mark,

Thanks for ur reply. U have asked me about my home tensions till recently.

The home tensions which prevailed in our home were mainly because of my father.

My father had a business till 1992 and after which he was jobless. He had to

depend upon my grandpa for money related matters till recently. So this was the

main cause for this was lack of security(job and money). Dad was very moody. We

had to suffer a lot @ home during those days.

Looking at your dad's chart would be good too.

Now as I got job(in 2004) dad's relieved and hes ok now. (One thing I remember

in Dad's chart is Saturn,Venus and Mercury are in Libra and he too is a

cancerian(moon in cancer)).

We all go through ups and downs. Saturn is there reflective of our hardships

and the need to develop great inner balance and peace.

Saturn though it's Exalted in Libra, still would give some negative affects to

both Mercury and Venus. Seems like a very sweet man, due to both his

Venus/Libra and Moon/Cancer!

Also u asked me about my grades suffering. Till 1998 I was topper in whatever

class I was. I joined my graduation in 1998(almost when ketu dasa started for

me) and from then I lost my touch and I was never confident. All my confidence

on me was lost and I was in total shatters.

Ketu, like Saturn can give lack of self-confidence. However, what Nature and

even Jyotish are trying to help us learn is how to develop more inner, more

real stable self-confidence and inner stature.

The grades started slipping from late1998 onwards.(Oct/Nov).

We're not taught generally how to adjust to the needs of different periods, when

different karmas will be coming and new and different aspects of our live's need

to be addressed.

 

I do think I know my chart in a ok manner and it does fit me.

That's the first thing, learning how our chart really fits us.

 

One more thing I wanted to tell u was, I had a major ailment when I was 8 in

1988. I luckily survived. When I check what dasa was running for me then, it

turned out 2 be Budha (Mercury)Mahadasa and under that Mars(Kuja) Antardasa.

What do u say . Do Mars has something 2 do wth this ...??

What are benefic and malefic planets in my horoscope?

The main benefics are:

Venus, because it's Exalted, in your chart.

Moon in Cancer, because it's in it's Own sign...

and

Sun and Mercury may represent some positive qualites, because Sun's the lord of the 4th,

in the 10th and Mercury's lord of the 5th, in the 10th.... both of which are positive lordships.

Malefics:

Mars & Rahu, both in the 4th house and close to Jupiter, may represent some of the malefic

energy in your chart.

Also, Saturn in Virgo, in the 11th, aspecting all important 11th house, may act

slightly malefically for you.

The best way to figure out whether a planet's 'acting' malefically, is....

whether the positive or negative sides to it's nature are going on...

How wil Rahu,

Mars and Jupiter being together will effect(in 4th house) ?

Mars & Jupiter can be positive or negative together.

If Mars dominates, rather then Jupiter, then, 'fighting' or crusading for one's beliefs,

even spiritual causes, may be bossy, or prejudiced.

However, if you keep good balance between these two qualities, then, Mars will

represent fighting for what is right, both within yourself,...and in others...

or the environment....

In the

same way Sun,Mercury and Ketu.(in 10th house).

Sun & Mercury, generally, love being together, though Ketu's influence can represent

some negatives...

Fortunately, Ketu is pretty far away from both Sun & Mercury, but,....

do you or your self-confidence ever suffer any negative influences, self-doubt, etc.?

This may be due to Ketu and even Rahu's influence upon the 10th house.

U have asked me abt my

One more intersting thing I was wearing a blue sapphire from 1998 to

2003. Til 1998 evrything was very good @ studies. Suddenly my grades

declined.

When did your grades, first suffer?

I had 2 face many troubles. (I was wearing it to my ring

finger till 2001 and then changed it to my middle finger). That was

Ketu Mahadasa for me(1997-2004). That period of 1998-2003 was

pathetic for me. Nothing went on my way. Both my home life and my

professional life was in shatters.

We also need to look at the transits, especially, over the last 5 years, ....

In 2000, Jupiter went into a planetary war with Saturn, and over the last 5 years,

they continued negatively influenceing each other,.... such we've been in a huge,

World-wide recession.

Do you know Saturn's 3rd house aspect, and have you watched the influence of the

Transits, for you?

Can you explain y that happnd. In

2001 for a very brief period(for 6 months after which I lost it

somewhere), I was wearing a yellow topaz.

Gems can have some slight positive influence, however I find the configurations in our

charts, dashas, and transits, have a very powerful affect.

Recently went 2 a jyothish. He told me to wear a diamond on my middle

finger. WHat do u say ???

donno anythin , but think that Kuja Dosha exist but my Mars is in

Leo.

If you have a Taurus rising, then, yes, Mars is in the 4th house,

which

is one of the classic kuja dosha positions.

However,.... the best way to tell whether one is still experiencing

Mars'

imbalance...

is to ask yourself, do you feel heat, or aggravations, around the

home,

or home life, (ie. 4th house), and do you find that tension, in your

relationship

house, too?

As Suresh told that Mars in Leo will not account to be a Kuja

Dosha .. Is it so??

I'd never make that kind of blanket experience.

I find the house, as many in Jyotish also believe, that the house, is

more important

then, the Sign.

Mars in Leo, has it's own particular kind of tension, too often being

associated with

bossyness, and abusive, or controlling, manipulative kinds of Mars'

behaviors...

Though in your case, your very good Moon, (in Cancer), and your

Exalted Venus,

should minimize some of that malefic potential of Mars...

What is your experience?

My Mars is debiliated in Navamsha(in Cancer with

Jupiter who is exalted). Is this interesting having 2 planets one

exalted and other debiliated in the same house??

Fist of all, the Navamsa chart is such an interesting addition to the

realities of the birth chart,

ie. add the qualities of the Planets/Sign, from the Navamsa to the

one's in your birth chart.

Therefore, Mars is less positive in Leo, and under-developed in

Cancer.

So, the suggestion will be, be sure that you're not taken advantage

of in certain aspects

of marriage, (ie. Navamsa chart), but don't be too pushy, or bossy,

at home, under the home,

roof.

Reg me Im doing good now, though I was doing very bad before 2 years.

You and millions of others, were experienceing a lot of grief, over

the last few years,

when Saturn and jupiter were colliding from 2000.

My Venus(Shukra) Mahadasa started in 2004 start and Im in middle of

Jyotish can help us know when and which areas of our lives will

experience the most

success, and which areas, will involve our challenges.

You said it well, above when you said, you had recently entered your

Venus, (Exalted

in Pisces), period....and yet, also in Sade Sat.

Venus will represent a very good aspect,....and

Sade Sat will represent a simultaneously, challenging part....

Learning how to take advantage of the positives, or benefic parts...

and especially learning how to change and transform, the negatives,

is a great benefit

of Astrology.
