Om Namo Bhagawate Vasudevay

Dear Swee Ji,

Namaste.

The references are as under -

Agni Purana - Chapter 246

Garuda Purana - Pt. I

- Chapter 68 - Story of Balasur and creation of Gemstones.

- Chapter 69 - Detais of Pearls etc.

Details of gems occur in Garuda Purana. Agni Purana also deals with

them and Pearl in particular.

Since it is the beginning of Vasantik Navratras today and the process

of Kalash-sthapan and Japas etc. including recitation of Shri Durga

Saptashati begins today, it has been a busy day for me.

I could not locate the exact references today, though I have read the

story at other places also, in Devi Bhagawat and other Puranas. I

sincerely hope that you will understand and kindly pardon me for the

delay.

I shall be back with other references ASAP.

Om Shri Krishnarpanamastu.

Himanshu Mohan

Dear Himanshu

Namaste

The chapter on Agni Purana is good enough for me. I would be interested in

the exact references from Devi Bhagavata or other Puranas. However, you

should consider the Kaushtubha gem as the spiritual "gem" as it is not a gem

in the material form. If you have so time in the future, can you also help

me with references of Bala asura's incarnations especially his past merits.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate your help.

Enjoy your Vasantik Navratras Day.

Love,

Swee
