There is a definite rhyme and rhythm(NADA) in the function of the chakras. i shall give below the order. Mooladhara - Ganesha - Navakshari - Buda - Mooshika Swadhistana - Srimata - Shodasi - Venus Manipuraga - Siva - Panchakshari - Surya Anahata - Saptamata - Mars - Mayura Vishudha - Dasamahavidya - Guru - Simha Ajna - Turyamsa - Sani - Sacred bull/Nandi Sahasrara - Sivasakthi/kameswarakameswari/SOMA - Moon You will find a definited pattern emerging. If you descend the order is Moon/sani/guru/mars/sun/venus/buda. If you ascend you find the order as buda/venus/sun/mars/guru/sani/moon. The direct route from Mooladhara to Sahasrara is called as Ganesha chakra while the other direct order is called as Subramanya chakra. i am coming up with the paper on the philosophies and beauty of kalachakra as desired by Sanjay. I.e. One of the main purposes of the Vishuddha Chakra is to cure you of all diseases, and give immunity from diseases. This is why after reciting the Mrityunjaya mantra a cool feeling is said to enter ones throat, and is supposed to be a drop of nectar arising from the Mrityunjaya mantra. Now the house responsible for keeping us alive and enforcing our longevity is the eighth house. Saturn is the karaka of this house, and hence his task is to ensure our long life.. he is ayus karaka. So naturally Saturns function matches that of the Vishuddha chakra, but the way to reach the Vishuddha chakra is through Jupiter. I offcourse agree with two methods of reaching them (ganesh vs. subramanya). I heard this in a cassette on spiritual discourses. I think I maybe right on Muladhara color of red color. I need to revist the cassesstte and find it. The discourse went on like 7 ragas are sync'ed to 7 rainbow colors to 7 planets to 7 chakras. For eg., the Drums can activate muldhara/Svadisthana i.e people dance/sing - high energy , while string activates the Manipura,veena activates the anahata - peace, flute activates the Visuddha chakra - gratefulness, while bell activates agya chakra -awareness , conch activates the sahasara. In ancient India, the temple architecture was such that by the time one reaches the sanctum , all the chakras will be activated. the most important thing I want to remember is that fact that when u get angry ( fall from 1st chakra to 2nd chakra - high ego -sun,desire mind, weak Moon) , and when the anger subsidies, u regret it and feel sad and fall into 3rd chakra ( saturn ) , sadness in turn lead to hatred/fear (4 - budha/guru ), which in turn lead to 5th chakra of greedy/jealous ( budha/guru) and in turn leads to more sex (6 - affliacted venus ) and then leads to inertia and dull ness in life ( 7th chakra - weak mars) .
