Prescription of gemstones as an astrological remedy..

Respected learned members of the group,

 

I have a few questions regarding prescription of

gemstones as an astrological remedy.

 

The general dictum is that one should prescribe

gemstones corresponding to functional benefics or

yogakarakas in the chart.

 

My questions:

 

1. Which is the chart that we have to look at ? Should

it be limited only to D-1 (Rashi) ?

 

2. If one can prescribe gemstones based on other

divisional charts, would not a functional benefic in

one divisional chart be a functional malefic in

another divisional chart ?

 

3. By doing so, are we not aggravating some other

problem ascribed to the functional malefic ?

 

I request the respected learned members of the list to

clarify my doubts in this regard.
