Guest guest
|| Sri Ramajayam || Respected Sunildevaru, Namaste! The following I guess will clear your doubts on Rahu and Kethu: Rahu and Kethu are mathematical points in the sky. They are astronomically, the ascending and descending nodes of Moon respectively. Moon's orbit around Earth is inclined at around 5 degrees to the Ecliptic (Apparent path traced by Sun as viewed from Earth). There are two points at which these two orbits appear to intersect apparently. These are the nodes. Rahu (Ascending node) is the point in Moon's orbit at which, Moon crosses the ecliptic and goes northwards with respect to Earth's north pole and Kethu is the point at which Moon goes southwards. For an eclipse to occur, Sun, Moon, Earth and the nodes must be collinear. Regards, Vijayanand. ______________________ India Matrimony: Find your life partner online Go to: http://.shaadi.com/india-matrimony
