I have heard it said somewhere that another meaning for the word 'Sadhana' is effort.

So any body making any effort towards a particular direction is a 'Sadhak' doing

'Sadhana' is it not?

Dear Sanjay ji and All Gurus(including Partha)

I think I have created lot of troubles and feel very sorry for that. My

intentions were not at all to create any problems to the Gurus. I

apologize for any trouble I caused in the list. My point was not to

degrade 'Sadhana' nor anybody doing any kind of sadhana. But I just

wanted to say some thing about 'compulsion' of Sadhana for jyotish

learning.

I do my Sadhana as suggested by H.H.Shankaracharya and Sanjayji daily

without fail but it is to have communication(implicit) with these great

souls everyday. I enjoy that!

Lastly I just want to clarify to Sarbani ji that I am also in the same

Train in which everybody is travelling. We all have the same destination

and are driven by same driver. Possibly I am eating sometimes some

different food!. Once again sorry for the trouble caused.

Dear Prabodh

You have expressed your opinion and it is fine to do so. This is not a Nazi

forum and you are free to speak your mind but you are a Ruchaka Mahapurusha and

great in battle has been proved, but you should realise this is not

battle...yahan shanti chahiye malik.

There is no compulsion for doing sadhana in the sense you meant it but there is

compulsion in doing sadhana in the sense that Partha meant it.

See the TWO MEANINGS of the word here! I have had a good laugh when I saw those

cross currents. And let me remind you of a nice mail you wrote in the lists

some time back reminding me that I have not been able to do sadhana due to my

intensive travel and that sadhana is necessary for good predictions!

Now the very same Prabodh who said sadhana is necessary to me (and I HAD AGREED

most humbly) is saying this.

Zara yaad karo...voh bhi Prabodh tha, aur yeh bhi Prabodh hai. ham bodh kis baat

ka lein, jab Prabodh hi aise kahe.

Definitely I am not, although I can see that so many are, and this shows who is

doing sadhana and who is not!!! Just OM japa with Jagannath is sheer

bliss...believe me this is ultimate.

Nice quote. It proves that either way Sadhana is necessary for Gyana yoga, so

technically Partha is right.

Actually I have been laughing sir - ham sab angrej ban gaye..sadharana bhasha

bhi nahin samajhte..just see how the word sadhana has come to mean religious

dogmatism whereas it simply means 'right effort'

Actually I knew that you will be laughing at me! I am sorry that I got

into this discussions in this fashion. May be my RMPY makes me to do

that! But you will see that I never said that performing Sadhana for

correct prediction should not be done. Aap ke sath raha ke Itana to

maine sikh hi liya hai. Pahale maine jab aap ke Sadhana ke bare me

kaha tha it was on your predictive ability. It is under stress

because of your frequent travelling. You dont get Time to do your

Sadhana and that is why your prediction may go worng. I still say that

you must get more time to perform your Sadhana(for more and more

correct prediction and become undisputed HERO of Vedic Astrology).

But I still do not understand why Sadhana of some kind is required in

learning Jyotish. On the other hand learning regularly should be a

Sadhana.I learn from you when I am with you and every day I learn from

you(from your books no sadhana involved!) but what sort of Sadhana is

required for that. My basic objection was on to understand Ak as rahu

you require Sadhana. Yane Jyotisha nahi huaa koi Bhuta vidya hui. Sir

dont take me otherwise but there are more and more people getting into

this kind of spiritual aspect which is not required in my opinion for

learning jyotish.

Now a days with your blessings,knowledge and permissions, I am

teaching Jyotisha at SJC Nagpur. We have now good collections of 25+

students and almost every body is very happy to learn(from me!). We

have people from every walk of life and most of them are 40+. I was

just thinking what will they think if I tell them that to learn(not

predict) some kind of Sadhana is required!

I know that Partha is Dhan Lagna which you like most! and hence may

find his opinion nearer to your heart! Pur Hamare taraf bhi Kripa

drishti rakhana. Atleast I require it most. Guru he nahi raha to mera

RMPY kya kam ka???

Dear Prabodh

No I am not biased in this at all. All I am saying is that Partha is technically

correct as you were also correct. By saying in the lists that Sadhana is not

necessary, you are sending a wrong message to the average person. You will

recall you were not talking at Varahamihira list. This is a public forum and

50% out there are only haning around for showing charts. So remember that what

you say here will be taken at face value.

I know that what you said was right in one sense.But you will notice that people

who do the Guru mantra learn Jyotish better and faster than those who do not do

it. Then there is the blessing of the Guru itself in the form of the mantra

that opens the bddhi to better learning due to the mantra ans that is the

sadhana.

Without the mantra sadhana Jyotisha cannot be mastered. Dr Raman worshipped

Tripurasundari or Rajarajeshwari for his parampara vidya as I worship

Jagannatha. The Brihaspati gayatri is the sadhana of the best Jyotisha. So

sadhana even in the sense you meant for sadhana is actually necessary for being

the best and for mastering this knowledge. And for your information K N Rao

listens to Vishnu Sahasranama everyday as our PVR worships Satya Narayana in

every full moon. Without mantra the para vidya learning cannot come, and

Jyotish is a Vedanga.

I thought I read someone saying Jyotish is not Para vidya and that Upanishad is

Para vidya! What is going on ot here?? The next thing they will be saying is

that Vedas are five...yes believe it or not! Someone is saying that there are

five Vedas! Sometimes I wonder whether all this is a bad dream or someting like

that.

The greatest of Sadhaka practise their mantra in the middle of the night and

this includes the PROPHET MUHAMMAD, JESUS CHRIST and even NOSTRADAMUS. So you

are no exception.

Dear Prabodh

An after thought...please meditate before the classes. Meditation is good for

everyone. They will not laugh and if they do, remember you will have the last

laugh. Try to either do the Vishnu sahasranama, or simply recite 'OM' before

starting the classes. Tell them to do some mantra practise it is good for them.

Many maybe young like you and may feel that this ol'fool of a fellow is always

talking about mantra and silly stuff, but then I am only thinking of the future

and saying this.KNR, BVR, PVR and SR cannot all be wrong...or maybe they all

have a 'R' in their surnames that could be doing this to them...who knows?

That is also one of the meaning. It has a number of meanings, but what

is being talked about has a different context, though in a way meaning

suggested by you also relates to that.

Actually to tell you the fact before the start of the class I do my

prathana Deepa Pujan.(Ram Narayan had called me from Madras on the start

of the class and advised me exactly this. I really thankful to him for

this.) I do my daily pooja and dhyana before start of the Institute. My

computer always recites(which me and every student of my Institute

listens!) Ramaraksha,Rudram,Lalitha Sahastranam,Vishnusahartanama and

many other shlokas all the time.

particular set of vibrations which directly have an influence on the human mind

and soul. Repeated chanting of a particular mantra results in Japam. When the

mantra is repeated several times, there is a multiplicity effect. It is similar

to a particle accelerator, where the particle revolves many times. At every

revolution its energy increases comparatively and there gives enormous amounts of

energy.

horoscope, Mars is evil, one can resort to the worship of Lord Subrahmanya and

chant Mars kavacha. The chanting should commence on an auspicious date and

should go be completed without any interruption.

No I am not biased in

this at all. All I am saying is that Partha is technically correct as you were

also correct. By saying in the lists that Sadhana is not necessary, you are

sending a wrong message to the average person. You will recall you were not

talking at Varahamihira list. This is a public forum and 50% out there are only

haning around for showing charts. So remember that what you say here will be taken

at face value.

I know that what you

said was right in one sense.But you will notice that people who do the Guru

mantra learn Jyotish better and faster than those who do not do it. Then there

is the blessing of the Guru itself in the form of the mantra that opens the

bddhi to better learning due to the mantra ans that is the sadhana.

Without the mantra

sadhana Jyotisha cannot be mastered. Dr Raman worshipped Tripurasundari or

Rajarajeshwari for his parampara vidya as I worship Jagannatha. The Brihaspati

gayatri is the sadhana of the best Jyotisha. So sadhana even in the sense you

meant for sadhana is actually necessary for being the best and for mastering

this knowledge. And for your information K N Rao listens to Vishnu Sahasranama

everyday as our PVR worships Satya Narayana in every full moon. Without

mantra the para vidya learning cannot come, and Jyotish is a Vedanga.

someone saying Jyotish is not Para vidya and that Upanishad is Para vidya! What

is going on ot here?? The next thing

they will be saying is that Vedas are five...yes believe it or not! Someone is

saying that there are five Vedas! Sometimes I wonder whether all this is a bad

Sadhaka practise their mantra in the middle of the night and this includes the

PROPHET MUHAMMAD, JESUS CHRIST and even NOSTRADAMUS. So you are no exception.

Actually I knew that you will be laughing at me! I

am sorry that I got

into this discussions in this fashion. May be my

RMPY makes me to do

that! But you will see that I never said that

performing Sadhana for

correct prediction should not be done. Aap ke sath

raha ke Itana to

maine sikh hi liya hai. Pahale maine jab aap ke Sadhana ke bare me

kaha tha it was on your predictive ability. It

is under stress

because of your frequent travelling. You dont get

Time to do your

Sadhana and that is why your prediction may go

worng. I still say that

you must get more time to perform your Sadhana(for

more and more

correct prediction and become undisputed HERO of

Vedic Astrology).

But I still do not understand why Sadhana of some

kind is required in

learning Jyotish. On the other hand learning

regularly should be a

Sadhana.I learn from you when I am with you and

every day I learn from

you(from your books no sadhana involved!) but what

sort of Sadhana is

required for that. My basic objection was on to

understand Ak as rahu

you require Sadhana. Yane Jyotisha nahi huaa koi

Bhuta vidya hui. Sir

dont take me otherwise but there are more and more

people getting into

this kind of spiritual aspect which is not required

in my opinion for

learning jyotish.

I am glad that you asked for it. I do everything about Jyotish free of

cost . See Sanjayji,PVR, and other good Gurus are giving us so many

things of Jyotish free of cost. Can we not do little bit about it?

Pranaam,

What Partha is telling you should not take it another way.Whatever you mean the

literal meaning of Sadhana is totally correct.After all Guru is guru and we

must obey the preachings of Guru. That is what written in the ancient books.

Now we want to prove this Jyotish Vidya a science.And science wants reasoning of

every topic and the meaning of each word. Unless we satisfy our disciple with

concrete meaning, he may not be satisfied.

To-day in this scientific world the meaning of sadhana as described by Partha fits. Is it not ?

bliss...believe me this is ultimate.

Nice quote. It proves that either way Sadhana is necessary for Gyana yoga, so

technically Partha is right.

Actually I have been laughing sir - ham sab angrej ban gaye..sadharana bhasha

bhi nahin samajhte..just see how the word sadhana has come to mean religious

dogmatism whereas it simply means 'right effort'

currently, do not get perturbed. I am certain all of those who are

participating are doing Sadhana. The Lord has said that Gyana Yoga is

shreshtha. na hi GYaanena sadRishyaM pavitramiha vidyate |tatsvayaM

yogasaMsiddhaH kaalenaatmani vindati ||4.38||So even those who are not doing

religious Sadhana but are pursuing attainment of knowledge are doing Sadhana,
