Guest guest
I am learning astrology and wondering what does the degree in astrology mean? Does it mean that when it reaches a certain degree the planet expires in a house and moves to the next house. Does it mean if it expires from house 6 it would move to house 7. I am still at the stage where I am learning about signs and houses. Just wondering what does the degree mean? Thanks, Indian girl. PLANET SIGN LONGITUDE MOTION NAKSHATRA Asc Aries 8° 46' --- Ashwini Ven Virgo 29° 21' Dir Chitra
Guest guest
Namaste, The zodiac is divided in to 12 signs of 30 degrees each, sarting with Aries or Mesh. The sidereal zodiac used in indian jyotish is a fixed zodiac. So if the lagna is 8 degrees aries means the point on the eastern horizon is 8 degrees in sign aries. A house , using equal house system will be 15 degrees on either side of this point. So it will be from 23 degrees in pisces to 23 degrees in aries. Any graha within that sector will be in the first house. ....
