Guest guest
Om Dakshinamurtaya NamahDear Srini, For Libra rising Jupiter is 3rd and 6th lord. Its placed in the 6th house in its own sign.A benefic in the 6th looses some of the effect and more so Jupiter.6th lord being strong in the 6th house can again cause some problems. Its debility in Navamsha only ensures that some struggles will come your way.Retrogression gives the planet immense strength also termed as 'Cheshta bal'.Since this is also the 3rd lord it can give you immense energy and make you goal oriented and there will be delays in attaining results of the same. You also need to look at the chart to see the Chara karaka status of Jupiter. As such this placement indicates that you will face some struggles in your 6th house matters. You must look at the whole chart to reach any conclusion. Best Wishes, Kanupriya. >"srini007_24" <srini007_24 > >vedic astrology >vedic astrology >[vedic astrology] Regd:Retrograde status of a planet >Tue, 08 Mar 2005 10:11:44 -0000 > > >Hi, > >I have got one doubt about the retrograde status of the planet >(Jupiter) in my horoscope. > >Rasi >***** >lagna is Tula > >Jupiter is in retrograde status and it is in sixth house. > >navamsa >******* > >lagna is tula > >Jupiter is in 4th house that i.e in neecha status > > > >Jupiter is good or bad for me.Any one let me know about this. > > >Srini > > > > > Print your digital images. Guest guest
I think effect of exalted/debilitated retrograde planet is discussed in chap 5 saravali, just in passing manner.-- quoted "14. Retrogression in Exaltation. If a planet is retrograde, while in exaltation, it produces no effect (nothing good will happen). This is the view held by some. Even, if it is in exaltation by its entry in retrograde motion from the next Sign (for example Jupiter entering Cancer from Leo), the effect is same, for it takes unduly long time in such traversion." However it is also mentioned that benefic when retrograde become more auspicious whereas retrograde malefic are not desirable... So what should we infer in a special case.. say exalted Jupiter( most benefic) but retrograde .... does it become more powerful in a benefic sense or being retrograde cannot give good results. would being retrograde diminish the expansive qualities of Jupiter. Also would a retrograde planet delay in giving its results. I hope that learned Gurus can shed some light on this topic and make it more clear. Guest guest
Om Dakshinamurtaya Namah Dear Aruna , You have mentioned two different points. My comments below:> > Dear kanu priyaji, > I have a doubt. If a vakra planet occupies own sign in rasi chart > and is debilated in navamsa, when we analyse navamsa chart, do we consider that planets debility is cancelled.... ** The planet does not break the debility as the suffering will still come but once this is over the results of the rashi will dominate. This can be understood better if you understand the diference between the Rashi and the Navamsha charts. When a planet is strong but in retrogression in rashi it indicates that the planet has a strong desire from a past birth. It will have intense evergy to fullfill this desire. The planet in its periods will change the circumstances to its own desire. When this planet is debilitated in navamsha this indicates that this will happen with alot of struggle. The cancellation of the debility will indicate what? Debility as such can be understood with a slight difference in the navamsha chart than the rashi chart. The rashi can indicate the various circumstances where as the navamsha will show the deeper struggles in attaining better bhagya and also issues connected to marriage. because somewhere I >remember I read that, an exalted retrograde planet is equalent to >debilated one and viceversa. ** A planet in retrogression is supposed to act like Rahu. This means it has a certain desire which it must fulfill.Exaltation is the higher form of anything and is like Vishnu himself giving the better qualities of the planet.Exalted Jupiter -immense knowledge, good judgement etc.Exalted Mars- Intense amount of strength the person may be a good fighter or may lead or discpline people. When in Retrogression this force becomes dierected to a single goal. An exalted planet gives good results but when in retrogression there are delays and some issues connected to the natural karkattwa of this planet will suffer.Jupiter in retrogression- some problems or delays with children of money [Natural karakttwa].The planet is very strong and the blessings as well as the negative results come on very strongly on the native's life. Debilitated planets can give more bhoga, Jupiter in debility -wealth but it may have nothing to do with morals.Mars- alot of fights with family, spouse etc.Again when in retrogression the planet will have intense amount of strength and can give alot of wealth, material gains etc. Best Wishes, Kanupriya. >looking forward to hear from you, >Aruna Srimantula > > > Cool ringtones, snazzy logos. Guest guest
Hi, navamasa ********* i would like to add one more point This planet(Jupiter) is in retrigrade status in navamsa also. I have studied in some books that if the planet is in neecha status it should have neecha bangha...and it is also in kendra so it should have necha banga raja yoga? whether this yoga will be there? one more question.... We have to take the planet effect in rashi or planet effect in navamsa? let me know your comments...... Guest guest
Dear Srini, When a planet is in retrogression it is so in all the divisionals as well. There are specefic rules for a planet to attain Neecha bhanga. This is what I have understood: The following can cause neecha banga: 1. Planet is in Kendra to Lagna or Moon. 2. Planet is exalted in Navamsa. 3. Planet is joined an exalted planet. 4. Lord of Exaltation or lord of debilitation sign is in Kendra to Moon or Lagna 5.The following can cause this by their placement in kendras to either Moon or Lagna. 1. Lord of exaltation sign. 2. Lord of debilitation sign. 3. Planet which gets exalted in the debilitation sign.Or 4. Planet itself being exalted in navamsa So this means there is always a clear set of planets which cause neecha bhanga.Jupiter gets debilitated in Capricorn. Its neecha bhanga can be looked into as: 1. Moon as lord of exaltation sign. 2. Saturn as lord of debilitation sign. 3. Mars as it gets exalted in Capricorn. 4. Jupiter placed in exalted navamsa. Neecha bhanga means the planet will be able to come out of its troubled circumstances and give better results. To see if it will lead to a Raaj Yoga there must be Yogas for a raaj Yoga.Look for Yogadas for this.Planets have to be studied both in the Rashi as well as the Navamsha. The Navamsha is what is in our bhagya and the rashi indicates the circumstances this manifests into.If a planet is strong in the D-9 and weak in D-1 then the native may not be feeling unhappy as such during its periods and yet the circumstances around the naitve may not be very good. There may not be huge negative incidents during this time and neither huge gains.Since the D-9 also connects to marriage this can give happiness in personal life. Both the charts are connected and should be studied for results which are long lasting and influence the native's whole life. Guest guest
Hi, when i compare your statement with the Jupiter position in rashi and navamsa, then the jupiter has got neecha bangha..because it is in kendra from lagna. Is it Correct?
