Fasting for UL ? - Can anybody clear me what is the procedure for fasting.

Respected Guru's and Learned Members,

Please clarify me regarding fasting. I want to do that for happy married life. I

read in some article it is from sunrise to sunset without anything means no

water too. Please anybody clear me this. What are all things I can have and

what not.

And here is my birth data

Please anybody tell me which day I should fast.

DOB : 1st march 1976

TOB: 5.55 a.m.

Longitude :74.18E

Lattitude : 14.42N

Place : Ankola, Karwar distt. Karnataka, india

I will be very greatful if anybody clear me and help me in this regard.

~ Om Namah Shivaya ~

Dear Shailaja,

I have made your chart and your UL is placed in Libra

which is ruled by Venus. Hence, you need to fast on

Fridays for "Devi Mahalakshmi".

The fast is kept from sunrise to sunset and you may

consume water, milk, curd (no salt), fruits if u wish.

Fasting is basically pacifying the planets by

punishing our body. I have been keeping UL fast for

approx 1 and a half years. The main point is that do

not overstrain yourself.

You may begin keeping fast and consume curd, milk,

fruit juice (without salt) in between, but take them

to minimum. Then as the time goes, try to minimize

it. Now, I just take water in between. After the

sunset, offer your prayers to Devi Lakshmi Ji. You

can do proper pooja, light an incense, aarti (prayer),

chant a mantra "om Shrim Mahalakshmayai Namah". After

offering your prayers, take one time meal (saatwic). I

would like to mention here, that I also worship lord

ganesha with Devi Mahalakshmi.

Respected Gurudeva Sarbani Ji,

I have recasted the chart in JHL 7.0.2 with the

following data:

I have manually feeded the longitude and latitude. I

am getting Kumbha lagna with UL in libra.

After seeing your e-mail, I thought, that I might be

using some incorrect settings. So, I calculated UL

manually.

The 12th house is capricorn (ruled by saturn). Now I

counted from capricorn till cancer (where saturn is

placed). I got a count of 7. So, from cancer, I

counted seven, and reached to Capricorn (the same

house, where we started, first house).

So, there is an exception, therefore, I counted 10th

sign from Capricorn and I got to Libra (ruled by

venus) and hence this is the UL.

If I am wrong somewhere in my understanding or

calculations, kindly correct me. For your

convenience, I am attaching the chart (sending to your

and Shailja's email) to re-confirm it.

PS: I got it where we differ, I am using the time

5:55:32. The lagna changes by couple of seconds, hence

I believe that birthtime rectification is needed in

this chart. If we change time to 5:55:00, the lagna is

makara.

Dear Neeraj,

You are using 5:55:53 in the attached JHD chart which is giving you Kumbha

lagna. I am using 5:55 which is giving me Makara Lagna. Please note Shailaja

has given her birth time as 5:55 a.m. Shouldn't we start from what she has

given? Why should we arbitrarily change her lagna without any cause to do so?

Thanks for attempting. As per the horoscope prepared on birth, mine is

kumbha rashi, Makara Lagna. Please let me know which day I should fast.

In case still you feel the time is wrong.

If want to rectify birth time : I give few details of of my life.

We are 3 sisters. Father is retired govt. employee.

Love marraige against father's wish. Married in feb 2003. Husband is engineer.

One daughter born on 29th May 2004 11:27 a.m New Delhi. Skin problem. And I

think my birth time is correct.

Guruji Pranam,

Your words 'indicate separations or difficulties in marriage' making me feel

giddy. If I do fast on Sunday's will my go smooth. I am ready to do without

water also. Please help if anything else I have to do for saving my married

Thanks for attempting. As per the horoscope prepared on birth, mine is

kumbha rashi, Makara Lagna. Please let me know which day I should fast.

In case still you feel the time is wrong.

If want to rectify birth time : I give few details of of my life.

We are 3 sisters. Father is retired govt. employee.

Love marraige against father's wish. Married in feb 2003. Husband is engineer.

One daughter born on 29th May 2004 11:27 a.m New Delhi. Skin problem. And I think my birth

time is correct.
