Case-Karkotak Kaalsarp Yoga-Help and advice requested

Namaste Smita ji,

 

I don't have the time to answer all your questions, but let me answer some.

 

(a) Even if there is Kalasarpa yoga (KSY), one need not worry about it. Here

there is no KSY anyway. There are planets between Rahu and Ketu and also

planets between Ketu and Rahu. In fact, both the 2nd and 12th houses from Rahu

have planets. There is no controversy in this particular case at all. The

astrologers who said there was "Karkotak Kalsarp Yoga" were probably trying to

scare your husband and make money thru remedies. Or they did not know astrology

that well. This is not even a border case where there is scope for judging

either way. Honestly, I am appalled.

 

My sincere advice is: Never again visit the astrologer who said this chart has

"Karkotak Kalsarp Yoga".

 

(b) If you ask me, the biggest weakness in your husband's chart that lagna lord

Sun is in Gandantha between Pisces and Aries. Also there is "Sankraanthi

dosham". He was born a couple of hours before Sun changed signs. In this

particular chart, the dosham present is called "Ghoraa Sankranthi dosham". The

weekday lord is Sun, the lagna lord. When there is Sankranthi dosham in a

chart, the significations and houses owned by the lord of the weekday suffer.

His lagna lord is the weekday lord too. So it shows a life that is kind of like

an uphill climbing.

 

If you believe in Hindu remedies, I want to suggest a remedy. If "Sankranthi

dosha santhi homam" was not done until now, I advise you to do it. This is an

inexpensive homam that most qualified priests know about. Try to find a local

priest who can do it for you. If you cannot, atleast find a priest who knows

Sanskrit and take "Brihat Parasara Hora Sastram" to him. It is chapter 90 in

Santhanam's version. Parasara clearly described how to do this homam. If you

take BPHS to a priest, he should be able to read it and figure out how to do

the homam.. If you cannot find a priest who can do this, please let me know and

I will try to help. But make your best effort first to find someone there.

 

There is some chance of finding a job in June (see annual TP chart dasamsa). The

end of 2005 and early 2006 is good too. But, from a long-term perspective, good

period in career can start only after April 2006. Narayana dasa of dasamsa is

the best dasa for seeing career. Pisces dasa is running from 1997 to 2006.

Pisces is the 12th house of losses. This dasa is not so good. Cancer dasa will

start in April 2006 and run for 11 years. Cancer is the 4th house and its lord

Moon joins 5th lord Sun in 5th, giving a nice raja yoga.

 

Sun is the 5th lord in 5th in dasamsa. Visiting Rameshawar (a Jyotirlinga in

Kanya Kumari) or praying to Shiva with the simple mantra "Om Namashshivaaya

NamoRaameshwaraaya" will bebeneficial in career.

 

In my judgment, your husband has one more year of mediocrity. Things will

improve considerably after April 2006 and he will rise to good heights in

2006-2017. But please don't ignore the Sankranthi dosha shaanti homam I

mentioned. As per Parasara's teachings, it is vital in this chart. Fasting on

Saturdays till sunset, praying to Shiva after sunset and then eating food is

also a good idea.

 

In saptamsa (D-7), the 5th house is Gemini and Mercury owns it. He is in Taurus.

Take Taurus as lagna in D-7 to analyze the qualities of first child. Saturn and

Mercury in 1st, Moon in 2nd, Jupiter and Ketu in 12th. Normally Mercury with

Saturn will show a girl. But Saturn and Venus have an exchange. usually an

exchange reverses the sex. So my guess is that the first child will be a boy.

It will be a very spiritual (Jupiter and Ketu in 12th), generous, soft-spoken

(Moon in 2nd), gentle (Mercury), humble (Saturn) and hard-working (Taurus)

child with some artistic abilities (Venus in 10th). The birth can happen after

Mercury dasa starts.

 

In the 2006 annual Tithi Pravesha chart, 9th lord and putra pada (A5) lord Venus

is in 5th, very close to putra sahamam and 5th lord Saturn aspects him from

11th. In D-7, Gemini rises with Mercury in it and Venus is the 5th lord and is

in samasaptaka with Mercury giving a raja yoga. So 2006-07 will give the child.

I am thinking that the annual Tithi Ashtottari dasa of Venus during Aug 29-Nov

5, 2006 will give the child. May God bless you with a worthy child who will

uphold your husband's and your name!
