Narayana dasa entry time using JHora lite- to Sri PVRN Rao

Dear Sri PVR Narasimha Rao,

 

I have been a member of vedic astrology for some time and learning a

lot from discussions. I have also been listening to your MP3 lessons

and benefitted a lot. Many thanks for making these lessons

available.

 

I am writing this to seek your help/answer on a problem I am facing

with JHora lite. You have started discussion on Narayana dasa in the

recent classes and one of the approaches you recommend to understand

the effects of dasa is to analyse "dasa entry chart". Since

Jagannatha hora lite does not give this option I tried to compute

the dasa entry time manually using Microsoft Excel 2000. However I

am not getting the same time you describe in your classes. For

example in last lesson (lesson No. 30-part 1) you discussed Sag Dasa

of your own chart and the dasa entry time given by you (using

software) was 4-April-1985 1:57:02 PM. However, if I use excel to

compute the dasa entry time using the following data:

 

Date of Birth: 4-April-1970

Time of Birth: 17:47:13 (sometimes you use a different time 17:47:08

but in this class you gave the time as 17:47:08)

Time Zone: 5:30 East of GMT

Place: 81'E08" & 16'N10"

 

Narayana dasa sequence:

Pis: 5 yrs- ending 4-apr-1975 10:53:13 am

Can: 5 yrs- ending 4-Apr-1980 03:59:13 am

Sco: 5 Yrs- ending 4-Apr-1985 09:05:13 am

 

so using excel dasa entry time for sag would be:

4-Apr-1985 9:05:14 am not 4-apr-1985 1:47:02 pm as you mentioned.

 

I used the length of the year as 365.2425 days

 

Can you please tell where I went wrong?

 

I greatly appreciate receiving your answer as it enables me to

calculate dasa entry time correctly (entry chart lagna will be

correct).
