I would like some help from the learned gurus on this forum with rectification of

the following horoscope.

DOB - March 12, 1970

TOB - 22:38

Place - Chennai, India (80 E 15, 13 N 4)

THE ISSUE:

Subject had poor health from 2000 - 2003 during Rahu Dasa / Venus AD with severe

stomach/intestinal pain. Underwent surgery in Sep 2003 to remove part of intestine.

Venus in Rasi chart is exalted in 5th house (Scorpio lg, Venus lord of 7 and 12),

and Rahu in 4th house (Aq) w/ Sun and Merc. 6th house in Ar has a debilitated

Saturn (lord of 3/4) and Mars (lagna lord in Moolatrikona).

It is not clear what role Venus has to play in the ill health of the subject, as

Venus is

lord of 7 and 12 is exalted in the 5th. (Scorpio Lagna To me it seems like the birthtime

may need to be rectified. Can you confirm if the birthtime needs rectification, or how

Venus is playing a role in the sickness and surgery? I'd like to understand this horoscope

for purposes of learning.

Also please comment on this individual's D-9 and D-10 charts.

LIFE EVENTS TO HELP WITH RECTIFICATION:

Married July 3, 1996. Children: Son born 8/16/2002 and Daughter born 12/6/2004

Well educated with two Masters degrees in US in Mech Engg and an MBA.

Has an excellent academic record.

Career didn't quite take off until this year... subject feels underutilized at work. But

will be moving to a wonderful (though physically exhausting due to travel) job later

in 2005.

Subject known for eclectic interests, reads a lot, and interested in music, though not

a performer. Subject known for creative expression in music and arts.

Thanks for your help!

Hare Rama Krishna

Dear Praveen,

Thanks for the clarification - I do see debilitation of Venus.

But in Rasi chart, Ve is lord of 7 / 12 and exalted.

In Navamsa, Ve is debilitated in the 3rd, being lord of 4 / 11

reckoned from Navamasa lagna in Cn.

I assume health/illness is shown through the sixth house.

Since the subject suffered physically, shouldn't the Rasi

chart show that?

The subject had a rare form of tumor removed from his intestine -

not only was the type of tumor rare, it was very rare in somebody

his age.

Did Sa/Ma combo, being a combo of malefics make the subject fight

off the illness - Isn't Sa/Ma in Ar in the 6th house a Viparita

Raja Yoga that may have played some role in the cure?

Does a vakra Jup in 12th house with aspect on the 6th act malefic?

And does parivartana of Jup and Ven force Venus to give Jup's

results? I'd like clarification on this thought process...

I'd also like to know in what aspect the subject is "extremely

fortunate" - was Venus as a maranakaraka capable of inflicting

death on the subject... or does the horoscope show "good fortune"

overall?

In the Navamsa, 4 planets are in neecha (Ma, Ju, Me, and Ve).

But there is definite neechabhanga for Ma, Ju and Me - based

on the lord of the house or the exaltation planet of the house

being in a kendra. Venus seems to be the only one w/o neechabhanga.

What are the effects on the Dharma of the individual?

Thanks for your response!

I don't follow the concept like Marankaraka that way. For your queries, read

books by Sh K.N.Rao (and re-read them), J.N.Bhasin etc, try to see between the

lines and do extensive research oriented testing. In a few years things will be

clear to you.

Dear Praveenji and other learned members of this forum:

Hare Rama Krishna

I am still unable to explain how Venus affects illness in

this chart (Subject was ill from stomach/intestinal problems

from 2000 through 2003, and underwent surgery in Sep 2003)

I very much appreciate some help in figuring out this chart.

Praveenji, thanks for clarifying that the birthtime seems accurate!

birth details:

DOB - March 12, 1970

TOB - 10:38 PM

Place - Chennai, India (80 E 15, 13 N 4)

My question is as follows:

Illness and recovery occured during Rahu Dasa/Ve antardasa.

Ve is lord of 7 and 12, exalted in 5th (Scorpio Lagna).

But Ve is debilitated in the Navamsa in the 3rd house as

lord of 4th and 11th from the Navamsa lagna.

If 6th house is seen for illness and recovery, how does Ve

influence this chart? Plus what are the indications for

career in this chart?

thanks,

balaji

May I add?.Lagna lord mars is with debilitated Saturn in the sixth.Coming to

chandra lagnam, the lagna lord Venus is in Parivartanam withJupiter who is

placed in the sixth.

Mars and Saturn aspect Jupiter.Rahu has to give the result of Saturn.Rahu dasa is in progress.

Therefore Shanthi Pariharam to Rahu/Saturn, has to be done.Archana to Rahu in

favour of the birth star, gothram and name of the person will do well.

Regards,

Jagannathan.
