Basic question - how to compute positions?

Dear Gurus and Learned Members,

Namaskars! I have basic question when astrologers say the saturn in 3rd

house or 4th house.

Can any of enlighten me how to analyse the the charts ( meaning from where we

should number the house to say its in 1st or 2nd position? For example in

enclosed chart how is number the houses?

Enlighten me by clearing this little doubt.

There where is Lagna (As) this is 1 House, then You go clockwise

and You should reach number of 12.
