Dear Friends,

As per the predicted dates of 30th January, 31st January and 1st

February has been very active days for Mother Earth.

I am posting only selcted earthquakes which are over 5 on Richter

scale.Apart from above, Papua witnessed a volcanic erruption

affecting hundreds of people who had to be evacuated.

 

Loss of life was reported.

Japan experienced one of the worst blizzards in recent history . It

has affected communication, transportation and hundreds of flights

have been cancelled today.

 

ADDENDUM TO ABOVE DATES

After posting the dates of likely events, I was able to lay my hands

on a database of majr earthquakes and natural disasters. Based on

comparative studies, I feel that 2nd, February thro to 4th February

period,when Moon is with Ketu and in 2nd house from Ketu, the seismic

activity will be definately a cause for concern.

JAKARTA - An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale rocked

Indonesia's Java island early Tuesday but there were no reports of

casualties or damage, seismologists said.

 

The undersea earthquake occurred at 03:21 am (2021 GMT Monday) with

the epicentre 19 kilometers (12 miles) south of the town of Lumajang

in East Java province, said Subagyo of the National Meteorology and

Geophysics Agency.

Taiwan Rocked by Earthquake; Buildings Sway in Taipei (Update2)

Feb. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Taiwan was rocked today by an earthquake with a

magnitude of 5.2, causing buildings to sway in Taipei. No casualties

were immediately reported.

 

The epicenter of the temblor, which occurred at 9:59 a.m. local time,

was located 15.5 kilometers (9.7 miles) east of Taiwan and 8.2

kilometers deep, the Central Weather Bureau said.

Another quake jolts Wellington region

WELLINGTON, Feb. 1 (Xinhuanet) -- An earthquake measuring 5.4 on

the Richter scale struck the lower North Island of New Zealand at

6:31 a.m. (GMT 1731) Tuesday.

 

According to New Zealand's Institute of Geological and Nuclear

Sciences, the quake was centered 40 km southeast of Martinborough

near Wellington, at a depth of 20 km. It was felt in the Wairarapa

and Wellington regions.

 

The quake was the latest in a flurry of seismic activity in

recent days.

Earthquake jolts Indonesia's Aceh again

JAKARTA, Jan. 31 (Xinhuanet) -- An earthquake measuring 5.3 on

the Richter scale on Monday shook the tsunami-hit Indonesian province

of Aceh, where more than 20 aftershocks have been reported since a

powerful earthquake triggered a tsunami on Dec. 26.

 

The tremor occurred at 10:08 local time (03:08 GMT) Monday and

lasted for about 20 seconds, the provincial geophysics agency

reported, as quoted by the Antara news agency.

 

The epicenter was located beneath the water off Sumatra

island,about 30 km northwest of the Aceh provincinal capital of Banda

Aceh.

 

The quake caused panic among residents but there was no report of

casualty.

Strong earthquake shakes Greece, no casualties

ATHENS, Greece -- A strong earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter

scale struck off western Greece in the Ionean Sea early on Monday,

but no casualties were reported, officials said.

The officials said the quake took place 50 kilometers (31 miles) from

the island of Zante in the Ionian Sea.

Earthquake strikes eastern Mediterranean off Turkey, no damage

reported

ANKARA, Jan 30 (AFP) - A moderate earthquake measuring 5.3 on the

Richter scale struck the Mediterranean sea on Sunday some 50

kilometers south of Turkey's southern port city of Kas, the Anatolia

news agency said.

 

There were no reports of damage or injuries in Kas, which was hit by

a 5.5 magnitude quake on Monday that also caused no damage but caused

panic among residents.
