That was a beautiful example!

 

But, regarding the use of dasas, I respectfully disagree with you. There are no

technical grounds for dismissing the use of Vimsottari dasa and other dasas in

short-term charts.

 

Practically, I have seen that compression of dasas works very well.

 

For example, I compressed Narayana dasa to 5 years in Vajpayee's swearing-in

chart of March 1998 and made a prediction in early 1999 that India may have a

serious confrontation with another country during May 19-July 6, 1999. This

prediction was published in Express Star Teller. You may recall that India had

Kargil war with Pakistani infiltrators exactly during May 25-July 5, 1999.

 

I am not good in linking mundane charts, dasas and transits with geographical

regions within India and hence could not specifically predict a problem in

Kashmir. But otherwise it was a very accurate prediction. It will be too much

for this to be a random coincidence, given that the time period of war lined up

almost perfectly with the dasa I predicted!!

Compression of dasas DOES work in practice.

Even in the example presented by you, compressed dasas DO work. Let me take the

Angirasa Margasira Sukla Paksha chakra given by you (24 Nov 1992, 14:41:57 IST,

New Delhi).

 

In this chart, Dwi-saptati sama dasa and Vimsottari dasa apply (lagna lord

Jupiter is in 7th). The duration of the chart is 15.6037 civil days. I am

giving the compressed dasa calculations at the end. Rahu's dasa runs as per

compressed Vimsottari dasa as well as compressed Dwi-saptati sama dasa on 6

December 1992, when a mob demolished Babri Masjid at the disputed Ram

Janmabhoomi site in Ayodhya.

 

In the paksha chakra, Rahu afflicts 5th lord Moon, 6th lord Sun and badhaka lord

Mercury in the 9th house. This does show religious tensions (9th and Rahu), mass

hysteria (afflictions to Moon and 5th lord), political tension (Sun and Rahu)

and problems in religious places (badhakesha in 9th).

 

Isn't it interesting that the corresponding dasa (Rahu) was running as per two

applicable nakshatra dasas?!! Could it be just a coincidence? Or, could it be

that the dasas taught by maharshis are so powerful that they work in short-term

charts too? Previous generations may have ignored compressed dasas because

computations are cumbersome. But that is not an issue for me. My software

compresses dasas for me at the click of a button. Here are the calculations:
