Dea James and List members, Namaskaar.

James, some thoughts below…

Hello again everyone.

I have another question regarding the 8th lord. My understanding is

that as lord of a dusthana and also lord of the house of death,

marital bond and sex, associations of the 8th lord are very

significant.

[Via NK]

I take the Maarakas (Killers) as the 2nd and the 7th House.

I consider the intimate act from the 7th House, and procreation from

the 8th. The 8th is the 2nd (i.e. sustenance) to the 7th.

If you were to extend the 7th House affairs beyond marriage, then it

would also encompass partnerships / alliances as well.

If 8th lord is Moon and placed in the ascendant (Sagittarius), what

does it mean?

[Via NK]

It could simply indicate that the person takes initiatives into the

forces of the unknown – the Occult. The Moon in the 1st could also be

one indication of popularity.

Moon is natural significator of mother - so does it

imply danger to the mother?

[Via NK]

Consider all 3:

House (i.e. 4th)

Lord (i.e. Jupiter)

Significator (i.e. Moon)

If considering the significator to the Mother, also consider whether

the birth has occurred before Sunrise or after Sunset. Accordingly

Venus may plan an important role in the chart.

On the other hand, as it is the lord of

death, will it affect the lifespan (and also mariage-span since 8th

hosue is for the marriage-bond) of the native?

[Via NK]

Being the 2nd (sustenance) to the 7th (alliances / marriage), it can

indicate so. Also check the Upa Pada / Vyaya Pada / Gauna Pada / A12.

What about 8th lord Jupiter in 7th house of Scorpio in a Taurus

ascendant? Will it wreck the marriage?

[Via NK]

What about the 2nd from the UL? Look more broadly…

Jupiter in 7th is supposed to

be a good placement for spouse and children, but according to some

also shows more than one marriage.

[Via NK]

Jupiter in the 7th can reveal the alliances coming forth are that

represented by knowledge (in a variety of subjects), etc.

Jupiter is expansive. Could this indicate that alliances grow, and

this could just be an indicator (not necessarily confirming) meeting

more significant people…?

Western astrologers also say it often shows the presence of a distant

lover. Can anyone throw any light on this?

[Via NK]

When you find the reasoning, also share it with me, please. The

statement is generic.

Where is the A7 in the chart?

In the case above, Jupiter the 8th lord is also 11th

lord - will this modify the evil effects in the 7th house?

[Via NK]

The 11th House is that of hopes and aspirations. It is also the

fulfillment of desires (Kaama Trikona). Perhaps the concept of this is

reflected in the philosophy of relationships for such a person? If

unfulfilled or not satisfied, perhaps the person feels punished…?

Jupiter in the 7th will cause the native to put on weight

(Jupiter=expansion) because it is facing the lagna, yes?

[Via NK]

Jupiter has graha drishti (planetary aspect). This is indicative of a

desire. A more permanent or existing situation would be had Jupiter

had Rashi drishti (sign aspect).

For weight, also check where Mercury is in the chart.

What are the remedies for Jupiter (and 8th lord) in 7th in the case

above?

[Via NK]

If there are marital tensions, consider fasting on the day lorded by

the sign of the UL. One message I have archived is :

vedic astrology/message/26309

If 8th lord Moon is in the 12th house, does this mean it is involved

in Vipareeta Raja yoga? What exactly does it mean for the native?

Since Moon is natural significator of mother and since 8th house

signifies the marriage-bond and length of marriage, will the mother's

and wife's lives be cut short? Which suffers more?

Regards,

James

[Via NK]

Hope that some of this helps.

Best wishes,

Nitin.
