Guest guest
||| Hare Rama Krishna ||| Dear Poolat, and List members, Namaskaar. For further calculations, one can also refer to: BPHS Chapter 7: The Sixteen Divisions of a Sign The Das-amsa, or the 10th division is a set as follows: Division Degree Progression 1 0 – 3 Degrees 0 2 3 – 6 Degrees 1 3 6 – 9 Degrees 2 4 9 – 12 Degrees 3 5 12 – 15 Degrees 4 6 15 – 18 Degrees 5 7 18 – 21 Degrees 6 8 21 – 24 Degrees 7 9 24 – 27 Degrees 8 10 27 – 30 Degrees 9 Counting: If in an Odd sign, count from the sign itself. If in an Even sign, count from the 9th therefrom. Example: Sun at 28 Degrees Saggitarius A) Planet is in an Odd Sign, hence counting is from the same sign – Saggitarius. B) There has been 9 progressions – hence the Sun is in Virgo in the Dasamsa. Example: Moon is in 20 Degrees Capricorn A) Planet is in an Even Sign, hence counting is from the 9th therefrom – Virgo. B) There has been 6 progressions – hence the Moon is in Pisces in the Dasamsa. Hope this helps. Best wishes, Nitin. || Namah Shivaaya ||
