Thank you very much for the NYSE birthdata. Just as a sanity check, I looked at

2001-02 annual Tithi Pravesha chakra.

 

At the time of birth, exactly 17.30% of Krishna Dwadasi tithi was left in

Vrishabha maasa (and Vaisakha maasa). The tithi of birth returns on 19 May

2001. Exactly 17.30% of Krishna Dwadasi tithi in Vrishabha maasa (and Vaisakha

maasa) was left at 7:52:40 pm (using LMT) on19 May 2001. If you make a chart

for this time at NYC, you will find that Scorpio rises and Rahu is in 8th. Rahu

in 8th shows a great and shocking fall during the year. Annual compressed Tithi

Ashtottari dasa of Rahu ran from 10 September 2001 to 21 October 2001!

 

Immediately after the terrorist attack on 11 September 2001, there was a huge

stock market crash! It is not surprising as Rahu dasa started on Sept 10.

Mercury is Rahu's dispositor (i.e. the 8th lord). His dasa at the beginning and

end of the year also resulted in stock market falls.

 

I checked a couple of other events too and this data passes my sanity check. For

example, Moon is the 12th lord in badhaka sthana in 2002-03 annual TP chart and

his annual TA dasa during Jan 25-Mar 16, 2003 took Dow Jones down by more than

1000 points.

 

I will do more detailed study with the historical stock market data and verify

the data given by you. Thanks again for the data! I have been interested in

stock market predictions using Jyotish for a long time, but the lunar new year

charts and national charts have been insufficient. Though I got some

interesting results, I never got really consistent/reliable results. I am

thankful for the stock exchange data. It could enable valuable research when I

get time.
