Guest guest
I totally agree with your view. The notion that hundreds of thousands had to suffer because a so-called exhalted personage was subject to adharma is an affront not to just rationality but to the religious tenets the world over. I am amazed that we still hold on to the notion of a vengefull God, or here in this case dispropriotanate sense of karma. To beleive in some way that God has favourites is back ward thinking and not consistent with the concepts we learn in jyotish. Additionally it is also ethnocentric, To believe in some way the suffering of Kanchi seer has to be balanced by suffering of hundreds of thousands from all over south asia is totally ridiculous and reeks of religious fanatism. Everything that happens is because of cause and effect. We learn that in Jyotish and yet here we have discussions of how one particular event leading to sufferings that affect thousands. Siva is right. It belittles the suffering and allows for seemingly intellectual rationalisation of human suffering. Regards Ajith Adharma is expressed in various forms at various times by various people and culminates What do we learn about in Vedanta ? That one man is no greater than the other. Your enlightening comments would surely be appreciated. The arrest of Matathipathi Jeyandrar may or may not be dharmic - I dont want to go into that discussion as I dont know him or the incidents that led to him. However commenting that this disaster that has occurred (that too in many countries) was a result of some arrest is insulting all the helpless people that died and is inhuman. Please refrain from such comments for your own personal sake. Atleast ask your common sense before posting such non-sense that insults the Divine. Once we lose basic human values and common sense, no Swami can save our spiritual growth. -Siva. vedic astrology, "sureshbabuag" <sureshbabuag> wrote: > > In a Ashirvad Pravachana, Sreemad Raghavendra Theertha Swamiji said > that as Adharma increases, pointing to the arrest of Kanchi Acharya, > Earth quakes and cyclones shall devastate the land the people.
