Guest guest
I am surprised at some of the postings on this subject. First of all I am a student of astrology and Vedic science and has been handling the subject for the last 20 years. But I don't claim to be an expert since it is such a vast subject full of surprises and new knowledge. In India Astrologers are called "Daivagjna" because it needs knowledge of several other subjects to go deep into Astrology. Actually Astrology is not an independent science like what foreigners think or want to believe. Astronomy on the other hand may be termed an independent science as it deals with the planetary positions. In my long research I have seen many people who do not understand maths or planetary positions make accurate and stunning predictions. But then predictions alone are not the begining or end or for that matter the purpose of astrology. I do not know how much of one may understand. Even in India nowadays due to high dose of materialism fewer people really care for the actual knowledge. Those people who ridicule Intuition do not understand its mechanism. Intuition comes from dedication and deep understanding, observance and extra keen mind. One can understand this if one talks to an experienced and dedicated doctor. It is only a matter of hearing what ones mind tell him. If one analyze and understand the vibrations of ones mind any body can develop intuition. That is exactly what the so-called Swamiji's develop apart from other things. There is no scope for sentiments in Astrology or Veda. Yes. It is very painful that such a devastating accident occurred. But sentiments cannot help in learning any thing from it. That is one reason why a `Daivagjna" is called "Sthirachitha". The word "Daivgjna" can be translated as one who knows the cosmic science. And "Sthira Chitha"- Sthira means unwavering and Chitha – Nearest meaning is mental faculty (Intelligence, mind etc). Also note that practically the depth of destruction is not going to alter the fact that Swamiji spelt the devastation made in front of 300 strong audiences. I was only surprised (Painfully as any other human being) at the sudden realization of what he said. I am yet to recover from the shock of predicting the death of my own brother in law in front of happy family gathering, whom I really respected and loved. Every day I find I have to learn a lot more when I watch the planets on a chart or people around me. I hope I have not injured any body.
