Dear Tatvam – Asi ,

I appreciate your post. It has kindled interest in realizing need to reassess

methods employed by astrologers .The principle used is basic and as thumb rule

is good. But question remains when where and how much intensity of Earthquake

will strike?.

Astrology is a discipline of great importance and like me and you,

many might be wondering why not Astrologer meet and workout to predict

Earthquakes in advance to make people aware of possibility of impending danger.

As many of us know excellent groundwork is already done by Dr B.V.Raman, Sri Kelkar

and some others.

It will be wonderful if in these days of knowledge sharing Seminars or workshops

are planned and organized by savants to develop or explore methods on

predictions of Earthquakes SO humanity gets the advantage of Vedic- knowledge

in saving of life and property.

To start with I shall post my notes on predicting earthquakes, that I am

searching for in hope of any help or to kindle interest.

Thanking sri Tatvam-Asi once again for calling basic attention to elite on this board.

Hope savants will consider my suggestion in spirit of kindness.

Mahadasa of Tula amsa and antardasa of dhanur amsa was(is) on at the time of

earthquake.(compressed kalachakra dasa for 1 year).

Lagna lord Mars is placed in 9th house alongwith ketu(most important planet/node

so far as kalachakra diagram is concerned). Mars is posited in the star Swati.

Buda is placed in the star Jyestha(4th star from Swati). As per the nakshatra

veda principle taught by jyotisharnava navanitam Buda is bound to obstruct the

good effects to be given by Mars and will bring about adversities and malefic

effects. Buda is the functional malefic for Mesha lagna. He is the lord of

Jeeva amsa and is posited in 7th house with reference to Jeeva amsa(7th house

placement indicates maranakaraka sthana) and in 12th house with reference to

lagna and in his sign of debilitation(unhappy). Buda is placed in 8th from Deha

lord Sukra and 6th from Deha amsa. It is clear that Buda has the intentions to

destroy and create trouble to lagna lord and there by lagna. Now the question

arises as to what sort of adversities can Buda give? Let us consult His

Holiness

Jaimini Maharishi. As per 3.3.51 of Upadesa Sutras Buda has the potency to

cause natural disasters like earthquake. Buda represents prithvi tatwa and is

placed in watery Meena. He is connected to Mars by way of Argala and is

therefore capable of causing earthquakes. By positioning in 12th he has kept

his intentions in a secretive manner. Buda occupies the 8th house with

reference to Arudha lagna and is in Vipat tara with reference to Nakshatra

occupied by Moon.

Rahu occupies the nakshatra Aswini(close proximity to watery Meena) and in

kaalachakra diagram finds his place in the amsa of Mithuna ruled by Buda. Rahu

has the potency to pierce(veda) through Buda all of a sudden through the

nakshatra occupied by Buda(jyeshtha has close proximity with agni dhanu) and

can cause expansion/explosion of adversities proposed by Buda from watery

Meena(tsunami). Rahu is one of the badhakas and is associated with shatru pada

and is placed in 9th, a maranakaraka sthana, with reference to deha amsa Tula.

In mundane astrology lagna refers to public health, 7th house refers to woman,

infant mortality, 8th house refers to death rate, unexpected troubles, 9th

house refers to fortune and 12th house refers to loss and hospitals among other

things.

We have already seen that lagna lord is under great duress on account of Buda

the jeeva amsa lord. Buda the jeeva amsa lord and Sukra the deha amsa lord are

placed in 6/8 positions. It looks like that Jeeva wants to wriggle out of the

clutches of deha.

Let us now see the chakra dasa. The nakshatra occupied by Moon is apasavya and

the dasa cycle begins with Kanya the jeeva rasi. The dasa balance left out for

completion of Kanya is very less as Moon is to cover up only a distance less

than 3 minutes of space arc in the 2nd pada of Nakshatra Visaka. Tula amsa Maha

dasa the deha amsa begins thereafter. Tula amsa is the third from Arudhalagna

and is subject to the machinations of Sani and Rahu. The lord Sukra has

exchanged houses with Sun. This means that both the grahas mutually influence

their houses because of this parivartana to a great extent. Sun occupies the

nakshatra Visaka which is vedha to Pushyami occupied by Sani the representative

of the mass. Sani on the other hand occupies Pushyami Nakshatra which is the

21st nakshatra(abhijit included) called as Trisula nakshatra, from Visakha

occupied by Sun. We find HL placed in 8th house with reference to the

Mahadasa/deha

amsa. This has a deep meaning. This placement indicates there is a specific

message of destiny to be communicated to the coummunity/jaati. Let us see the

nakshatra occupied by HL. It occupies the nakshatra Moola which indeed is the

jaati tara with reference to Moon. Moreover Moon is the rudra for the

chart(please see Jhora for the time given above). The thithi is amavasya ruled

by Rahu. Moon belongs to watery tatva.

>From the above it is clear that Tula amsa chakra dasa has deep message of

destiny to the coummunity in India. This period lasts from 13th November 2004

to 22nd January 2005.

GL is placed in Makha nakshatra which is vainasikha tara with reference to Moon.

In Kaalachakra we find GL placed in 8th house. Mars and Ketu are the sign

dispositors of GL. They are together placed in 3rd from Mahadasa Tula amsa.

The great disaster struck during the antardasha of dhanur which is occupied by

Mars and Ketu. It is because of the presence of Mars the lagna lord in dhanur,

Buda placed in 4th nakshatra with reference to the nakshatra occupied by Mars

(and in Meena amsa in kaalachakra diagram) had to act in a devastating manner.

The antar dasa of dhanur commenced on 22nd dec., 2004 and will end on 30th

dec., 2004.

Lagna of the lunar year chart has fallen in the nakshatra of Mrigasira. On the

day of event from the Indonesian earthquake chart provided by Sow.Sarbani we

find the Moon transitting the nakshatra Mrigasira and the Lagna rises in Dhanur

rasi. We find the deha amsa lord Sukra joining the jiva amsa lord buda in the

nakshatra Jyeshtha on the day of event and the readiness with which Rahu awaits

in Aswini nakshatra (veda to Jyeshta) to gobble up.

>From the rasi chart generated by Jhora we can see the concentration of planets

in Tula and Kanya. As per Varahamihira, from Simha 26 degrees & 40 minutes to

Tula 6 degrees and 40 minutes the stars preside over Lanka, Malaya etc. and

from Tula 6 degrees & 40 minutes to Vrischika 16 degrees and 40 minutes the

stars preside over the regions of Tamilnadu, pallava etc.
