Guest guest
Namaste Jyotisha, With the presidential elections looming on the horizon in a couple of weeks, already we are getting reports of voter registration fraud in some states, and that lawsuits have been filed as a result. Are we gearing up for another repeat of the last election, in which we did not know who the new president would be until a month after election day? Case in point: a lawyer and congressman in Florida recently filed a lawsuit alleging that the new electronic voting machines there could easily be corrupted given that they produce no paper trail and thus there is no real proof as to which candidate a voter might have chosen. Now, there is also the question of terrorist attacks on polling venues which could send panic into the collective voter minds, thus either delaying or putting the electoral process into disarray, at least temporarily. If either of the above scenarios were to take place, then naturally choosing November 2nd as election day to decide which of George W. Bush or John Kerry would win astrologically, might produce contradictory results. All of this occurred to me yesterday when looking at the Daily Tithi Pravesh Charts (DTPC) if both Bush and Kerry on November 2, 2004. Some interesting parallels between the charts come up, making view of the clear winner a bit blurry. Anyway, here are the chart details: John Kerry Daily TP November 2, 2004 Time: 3:26:39 Time Zone: 6:00:00 (West of GMT) Place: 104 W 59' 03", 39 N 44' 21" George W. Bush Daily TP November 2, 2004 Time: 1:06:41 Time Zone: 4:00:00 (West of GMT) Place: 72 W 55' 43", 41 N 18' 29" Now, in light of the above points of interest, both charts have Leo lagna, with lagna lord debilitated in the 3rd, and conjoining Mars and Ketu. Mars will just have entered Libra, and thus the conjunction with Ketu is quite close. Ketu and Mars are key planets in the matter of sudden violent attacks, as we saw on 9/11 when they conjoined in the sign of Sagittarius. Also note the Shastiamsa positions: Mars is in a Ghora (something terrible or horrible) D-60 division, whereas Ketu is in a Sarpa D-60 Amsa. These positions give a little more "teeth" to the argument that some kind of sudden, violent attack could occur with the intent of disrupting or reversing the expected outcome of the election. Also Sun/Mars/Ketu fall in the A6, which could increase the possibilities of either attacks, or at the very least legal conflicts that would confuse or delay the outcome of the election. Further, their dispositor Venus joins 8th lord Jupiter, and is aspected by 6th lord Saturn, setting the stage for legal action to take place following the election. So who wins when the rasi DTPC of both candidates is the same? The Sun's position in debilitation as the Lagna lord, and in company with Ketu and Mars in the A6 suggests that neither wins on that day! Or, it may be that both candidates think that they are the winner. Go figure. You would suspect this seeing that on the following day, i.e. 11/3, both DTPC's have the Jupiter/Venus Raja-yoga on the ascendant. So neither one concedes defeat, and both think that they have won. Or at least, that is the way I read it. Anyway, there is more on this topic i.e. election outcome and TP charts. There are arguments that could be put forward when seeing the D-9 and D-10 of these charts, but I would like to hear other's opinions on the above, especially Sanjay's and Narasimha's. For example, the annual TP charts have their tales to tell as well. Best wishes, Robert ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Robert A.
