Message posting etiquette & decorum

Namaskar all List Members,

I would request all members who reply to posts to NOT include all of the

previous messages in the thread. Some threads can become really long which

makes it difficult to locate a particular item of information and also to

download. Imagine a hot topic which can run into 4 or more thread levels. The

same gets very difficult to handle and the reader is left with screenfuls of

the same messages over and over again.

It is very easy to just hit 'reply', start writing and submit/post, but it is

always good email etiquette to also remove all previous messages except the

last one. The person interested in a previous post/reply can then easily jump

his/her way back through the thread to find the item of information he/she

needs instead of scrolling tediously up and down through huge emails, searching

for a needle in a haystack.

>From the list-owner or moderator's point of view, duplication of the same

messages in multiple mails also eats up space alloted by Groups.

So, let us not be lazy, let us also consider the other users, moderators et al.,

and make our mails short, sweet and to the point.

Thanks

Anando
