Although the Gurus have given various methods for birth time rectification none work to satisfactory level according to senior members. Best way is to rectify according to events & nature of native though that is subjective as you know. best SJJeyaram <jeyaram009 (AT) (DOT) co.in> wrote: Dear Bharat,I too endorse what Mr. Sunil has said. The time should be taken when the umbilical cord is cut and child becomes independent living body into this world. Please correct us if we are wrong / mistaken.Nevertheless, all said and done, what is the guarantee that the time noted down by the doctor/support people are accurate to the minute ? They anyway has to see the clock to record the birth time. There is no guarantee that the clock is showing the accurate time. Therefore, irrespective of what time is noted, it need not be 100% accurate for astrological purposes. Hence some rectification is a must in almost all the cases. But the process of rectification is where most of us are not sure which method to follow. Can some learned astrologers/gurus/list members throw some light on the systematic steps for rectifying the birth time ? It should however not be based on Past events bacause a new born baby will not have any significant past event. Also the method should be fool-proof without any exceptions. I am sure our ancient seers/Maharshi's would have anticipated such issues and given some methods.Hope to see more discussion on this topic.Respected RegardsJeyaram--- In vedic astrology, Sunil John wrote:> Dear Bharat,> If I may answer, most learned men take the time when the baby has its own independent existence i.e when the navel cord is cut.> Although this is a very disputed subject area with diverse views.> > Sometimes i feel it is the first breath, the prana since a child like here can be with his mother for long periods, but also his chart would show difficult birth.
