Thanks for explaining your earlier post better to me.

 

While I do not have COVA with me, I dug up something from the

archives (another list) to better understand the reasoning for such a

combination:

obstruct the Argala of the 11th house. Since the 11th is the house of

the objective is not gained and the person has to use PARAKRAMA BALA

I would logically use the concept of Sambandha (conjunction) for what

you are thinking on. Planets in close proximity influence each other.

 

Hence, it would be a mixed bag.

 

If you are in agreement of planets influencing each other, and

classify them as malefics, then the principle still applies.

 

On the other hand, the classified benefic could influence the

classified malefic in the referenced 3rd house.

 

Would you consider planetary degrees in this case to see which is

higher?

 

Also, their effects could differ in the dashas used appropriately.

Dear Nitin,

 

Accd. to Pt. Rath in COVA, special Argala is formed by natural

malefics in the 3rd from a Bhava or a Graha. The speciality is that

this cannot be countered by Grahas in the 11th from the Bhava or

Graha; thus there is no Virodh Argala. My query was if natural

benefics accompany malefics here, will such Argala still hold and

will the benefic too have unobstructed Argala?
