Clarification regarding malefic Jupiter, Chart 97, pg 366 of COVA

Dear Gurus and learned members,

 

The above case study says that since Rahu is asc in D1, D9 and D10, Jupiter in

4th will be very inimical to Rahu. It also says that though it may not harm the

significations of 4th house, it will damage the houses it aspects. I would like

to understand the logic/dictum behind this. I shall appreciate if someone can

explain it. Some specific queries are;

1. Does it apply only if Jupiter is in 4H?

2. Jupiter is often malefic functionally for lagnas like Taurus and Libra. In

such cases too, we rarely treat Jupiter's aspect as bad. Why is it so?

3. Jupiter is often taken as damaging significations of house of its placement.

Why is it not so in this case?

4. Would the situation be different if Rahu was placed in Asc only in Rashi chart?
