I vaguely remember the (translated) 5 M's you are seeking to explore, and the planets signifying them….. Pride / Intoxication Sun Moha Moon Loha Saturn Pleasures Venus Matsarya / Envy Mercury These are also mentioned in the Punya Chakra CD's of the W. Coast conference that took place last year. Hope this helps. Hope others can pitch in regarding the topic of Mudra. Take care. Guest guest
Hello Nitin and all, Thank you for your answer. I was reading in the Varga Chakra book and have reached the very last pages. Trimsamsa in respect to health describes the 5 M’s as the 5 weaknesses related to the Tatwas. Madya = Aslcohol = Vayu = Saturn Mamsa = Meat = Agni = Mars Matsya = Fish = Prthivi = Mercury Mudra = Palm / hand posture = Akas Jupiter Maithuna = Copulation = Jala = Venus Lets look at a sample. A planet afflicted in the trimsamsa in a particular Tatwa will bring forth the the weaknes in respect to the tatwa. Let’s say Venus afflicted in the Agni tatwa will cause the person: ??? “to eat meat”???? What is the source for this statement. I do not speak Hindi or Sanskrit to see the real meaning of Mamsa. Also I can not conclude the Palm /hand posture in respect to Akas tatwa. Thank you for your time font-style:italic">Marcus color:blue;font-style:italic"> 12.0pt"> font-family:Tahoma;font-weight:bold">Nitin [astronitin ] Wednesday, August 04, 2004 2:39 PM To: vedic astrology [vedic astrology] #2 Pancha 'M'a-kaara or the 5 "M's" 12.0pt"> ||| Hare Rama Krishna ||| Greetings Marcus…… glad to see you write more on the lists.
