BHADAKA CLARIFICATIONS

Dear Kanupriya, Nitin & others,

 

Thanks for sharing your valuable thoughts on the Bhadaka. Incidently

I purchased a book titled "Advanced Principles of Prediction"

written by Mrs. Gayatri Devi Vasudev, the illustrious daughter of

the legendary Dr. B.V. Raman. She has shared her decades of

experience about Bhadaka planets. Following are some of her views:

 

For every horoscope there need not necessarily be a bhadaka. For a

planet to become a Bhadaka it should satisfy the following two

conditions simultaneously:

1.It should be the 11th lord (for movable signs) or 9th lord

(for fixed signs) or 7th lord (for common signs)

2.Mandi or 22nd Drekkana Lord should be in the signs owned by

them.

 

So, essentially following will be true for different Lagnas:

 

1. For ARIES Lagna natives:

SATURN will be a Bhadaka iff (if and only if) Mandi or 22nd

Dreshkona Lord is in Capricorn or Aquarius; otherwise not.

 

2. For TAURUS Lagna natives:

SATURN will be a Bhadaka iff (if and only if) Mandi or 22nd

Dreshkona Lord is in Capricorn or Aquarius; otherwise not.

 

3. For GEMINI Lagna natives:

JUPITER will be a Bhadaka iff (if and only if) Mandi or 22nd

Dreshkona Lord is in Saggitarius or Pisces; otherwise not.

 

4. For CANCER Lagna natives:

VENUS will be a Bhadaka iff (if and only if) Mandi or 22nd Dreshkona

Lord is in Taurus or Libra; otherwise not.

 

5. For LEO Lagna natives:

MARS will be a Bhadaka iff (if and only if) Mandi or 22nd Dreshkona

Lord is in Aries or Scorpio; otherwise not.

 

6. For VIRGO Lagna natives:

JUPITER will be a Bhadaka iff (if and only if) Mandi or 22nd

Dreshkona Lord is in Saggitarius or Pisces; otherwise not.

 

7. For LIBRA Lagna natives:

SUN will be a Bhadaka iff (if and only if) Mandi or 22nd Dreshkona

Lord is in Leo; otherwise not.

 

8. For SCORPIO Lagna natives:

MOON will be a Bhadaka iff (if and only if) Mandi or 22nd Dreshkona

Lord is in Cancer; otherwise not.

 

9. For SAGGITARIUS Lagna natives:

MERCURY will be a Bhadaka iff (if and only if) Mandi or 22nd

Dreshkona Lord is in Gemini or Virgo; otherwise not.

 

10. For CAPRICORN Lagna natives:

MARS will be a Bhadaka iff (if and only if) Mandi or 22nd Dreshkona

Lord is in Aries or Scorpio; otherwise not.

 

11. For AQUARIUS Lagna natives:

VENUS will be a Bhadaka iff (if and only if) Mandi or 22nd Dreshkona

Lord is in Taurus or Libra; otherwise not.

 

12. For PISCES Lagna natives:

MERCURY will be a Bhadaka iff (if and only if) Mandi or 22nd

Dreshkona Lord is in Gemini or Virgo; otherwise not.

 

So it's very clear that all horoscopes need not necessarily have

a Bhadaka. Also the effect of a Badhaka lord will be felt only if it

triggers (by position, aspect or conjunction) other bad parameters

in the horoscope.

 

However, BADHAKA can be destructive in a PRASNA chart!!!

 

At least I have got the clarifications I was looking for. Hope this

helps other list members too.
