Dear Anirban,

Jupiter has a 100% aspect (Graha Drishti) not only on the 7th, but

the 5th and 9th as well. There are other partial aspects of planets

also mentioned in BPHS.

A retrograde planet, per my understanding does not cast a glance

elsewhere. Astronomically, planets do not move backward, but the

apparent slowing down in orbit, may make it appear so from earth.

As an analogy, just because one slows the pace when walking, it need

not imply, they start looking elsewhere, when doing so.

Rashi Drishti is another category.

Hope this helps you. There has also been discussion on this before.

Check the archives.

Best wishes,

Nitin.

Dear all,

Can someone please confirm what i have learnt about the aspects of

a retrograde planet.

1. If suppose jupiter is retrograde in first house it aspects

the 1st,5th ,7th and 9th.

The retrograde jupiter is also considered to be sitting in the

12th house and casting its influence on the 12th,4th,6th,8th as well.

So a retrograde jupter is influencing 1,4,5,6,7,8,9,12 when it is in

the 1st house.

Am I correct ? It will be great if someone throws some light on

the aspects of a retrograde planet.

Regards,

Anirban Basu
