Guest guest
Dear Kasturi, Just ignore Jupiter for a while and see if the other indications in the chart also point to the events. Guest guest
AUM GURUBYO NAMAH Dear Chandrasekharji, Lakshmi, Kasturi and others, Namaste. i hope you do not mind me writing a few lines in this regard. As we all know Guru rejoices in learning and at the same time blesses all his disciples and students with illumination, success and bestows this wonderful gift of joy of learning(VRISHABAM CHARSHANEENAM VISWAROOPAMATHABYAM. BRIHASPATHIM VARENYAM). In his ever expansive mood of furthering his knowledge he forgets the surroundings and is deeply immersed on the subject on hand. This gives us the clue about sthana brahsta. He forgets the surroundings. In other words he neglects the surroundings on account of his preoccupation. In the natural houses of learning viz., 4th, 9th and 2nd he happily leaps to the peak of knowledge. Does a Gyani minds about his attire/dress? The videha is unmindful of his body. Ofcourse one is forced to think that the body is being neglected by the Gyani. As regards Kasturi's question about the arrival of Guru in 2nd to UL it is indeed a blessing as this postion brings about the much required stability in marital life. This is because Guru as usual goes into the core of being, in quest of knowledge, which act, does not present a congenial atmosphere for the maraka function(2nd) to take place. As regards Sani he also forgets himself in his eagerness to meddle with the affairs of others. Sani being a natural malefic has a definite duty of harming the house but in his eagerness to know about others and to intervene in other's life he forgets to harm the house he has occupied. As regards the horoscope of Ramesh the time of 4hours and 20 minutes is not correct. The 7th lord Guru is involved in a curse. Sani is in vamshakshaya shastyiamsa and is BK. Somawar/monday worship of Lord Siva is compulsory. Best wishes. Astrologically yours, p.s.ramanarayanan."R. Guest guest
Dear Kasthuri Rangan, Sanjay has given a principle, which correctly applied would not contradict with the dictum. Two things have to be understood very clearly. One is that Jupiter harms the Bhava it occupies whereas 2nd from UL need not necessarily be 7th Bhava every time. Second is that the word is "Bhrashta" so it does not necessarily mean destruction of a Bhava ( though that could happen also) every time. It would certainly harm one of the indications of the Bhava. Now 7th Bhava also indicates short travels, business, partners etc. amongst many of its indications. Another thing that has to be considered is that Sages have told us to check yogas from AL, Lagna and Karakamsha .In Upa Pada Adhyaya of BPHS Parashara has also told us that Narada and others opine that all the effects given for Upa Pada are also to be seen from Lagna, Lagna Pada,7th from Upa Pada and their Lords. Strength of Lagna, Planets involved and Bhava involved will also have an impact on the final results. Thus applied the apparent contradiction would be removed. Chandrashekhar. R. Guest guest
Dear Rama Narayanan, It is nice attempt to delve into the principles behind the dictum. Zoran has also given another way of looking at the principle underlying the dictum. I commend both of you for the deep thought you have given this instead of brushing it off.
