the difference in the way horoscopes are charted in the

north and

south and do these have a bearing on their interpretation ?

are drawn depending on purpose.

bold;font-style:italic">First of all the 2 main differences are the directions

indicated by the charts, as being clockwise (south Indian) vs. Anti-clockwise (North

and East Indian).

bold;font-style:italic">The South Indian or clockwise chart, is drawn on the

ground to depict the planetary movements, whilst the anti-clockwise charts are

drawn in the ceiling.

bold;font-style:italic">Their real names are not as per their designated region

(south, north, east, etc). Their real names are:

bold;font-style:italic">East Indian – Surya Chakra

Shukracharya, hence associated with Venus)

to their own natal chart. I.e. I have Sun in Lagna, so I use the Surya Chakra.

Choosing the right chart ensures that you make less mistakes in your analysis.

This Surya Chakra arose out of the intense sun-worship performed in Orissa,

which once was renowned for its Daivagya’s.

the whole problem is that people disagree as to when the Vishnu Chakra

(Tropical Zodiac) and Niryana Chakra (Sidereal Zodiac) were aligned with each

other.

Why do so many people believe in numerology considering that

names esp.

which are written in the Roman script can be changed but

since the

actual name is an indian one, orginally of devnagari or

other indian

scripts, cannot be changed without changing the meaning?

For example

: Shobha De became Shobhaa De but in Devnagari script,

both are

written with the double AA sound only so how did it help

her ? I know

this particular question is not related to this group

per se but

with so many learned people visiting this site, I thought

I might get

a proper answer.

published compared to Vedic Numerology – that’s why. Vedic

numerology so far has a stronger tradition and basis – but nobody writes

about it! More correctly – Numerology should be based on sound and

intonation to apply numerology correctly.
