Dear and Respected Gurus, Learned Friends Namaste,

Something in Shloka 16 on Rahu and Ketu , Chapter 36 Yoga Karakas, in

Parashara caught my attention.

(Yadbhaaveshayuthau vaapi yadyadbhaavasamaagatau

tattatphalaani prabalau pradishetaam tamoprahao)

The translation of Girish Chand Sharma is; The shadowy planets Rahu

and Ketu give prodominantly the effects of the Lord of the House with

whom they are in conjunction or of the House in which they are

situated.

And he gives notes which are not really clear; which can be

summarized as; Rahu and Ketu imbibe / take on the quality of the

planet they associated with, or if there are no planets as such (e.g.

they are posited alone in a house) then they imbibe the quality of

the lord of the house where they are posited.

Rahu and Ketu are having their own and distinct qualities, so there

should be a distinction between the two, e.g. if Rahu is conjunct

Mars, or Ketu is conjunct the same Mars, the effects of these Rahu

and Ketu should be different.

Could you please throw some light of experience on this issue, about

the behaviour of the nodes.

Thanking in advance.

Adnan Sabri.
