Dear Prital,

Some more thoughts for you below…

Dear Nitin,

Thank you for the explanation. It certainly helped. I am also a

student of astrology so don't have a deeper understanding.

But the reason I concentrate on this aspect in the chart is because

the lords of the 6th, 3rd, and 10th houses are conjuncting to form

Chandra-Mangal yoga in the 8th house. And I would like to know what

this implies.

[Via NK]

The 3, 6, 10 and 11 are the Houses of growth (or upachayas). You (or

matters signifying these houses) will grow through the 8th House

(also signifying the occult).

Here are my details:

July 18, 1980 (Friday)

9:21 pm

Mumbai, India

The following is what I get out it from my limited knowledge:

If one just considers the fact that Chandra and Mangal conjunct in

the 8th...its indicating wealth and that wealth coming through

spouse/partner (8th house). This is the case if looked through

Arudha Lagna too since my Arudha lagna = Rashi Lagna.

[Via NK]

You're almost on the right track. Some corrections needed as well…

What is the reasoning / philosophy given behind the Moon and Mars

together in the 8th gives the results you mentioned above?

Where is your 2nd Lord (earned income / sustenence)?

Arudha Lagna (AL) is never in Houses 1 /7 per my understanding. These

are the seats of truth, or "satya peetha." Arudhas go by illusion, or

maya. Maya and Satya cannot be the same.

In case the Arudha comes to the 1 / 7 axis, count 10, therefrom. You

could consider the AL to be in the 10th House of Scorpio, in your chart.

Next, if examining the gains from this, consider the 11th House

therefrom. HERE, you see the Mars with the Moon.

For wealth, consider more of the Hora Lagna.

Next, looking at this combination from Upapada Lagna, places it in

7th house. So, again indicating a wealthy spouse.

[Via NK]

Arudha is the "rise." Those 7th from it hinders the rise. Hence Mars

and Moon will be the forces opposed to the institute of your marriage.

Consider, instead, the lord of the UL, its placement, etc.

Now, if I consider the lordships of the two planets:

Moon = lord of 6th house

Mars = lord of 3rd + 10th houses

So, if these lords are placed in the 8th house, that would mean they

bring their 6th, 3rd, and 10th house qualities with them into the 8th

house right? And 8th house mainly deals with unearned income

(inheritances) and occult. So, that means i would gain inheritance

or income by short travels, communications, or siblings (3rd) and

career (10th) and by providing service/work/duty (6th)?? I am having

trouble putting those signification together in a sensible way.

[Via NK]

You're on the right track.

Another thing to look at would be the lord of the 8th house. This is

Mercury which is placed in its own sign of Gemini in 5th house. This

is favorable since Merc is not only in its own sign, but is also in a

trikona house. This could indicate that the 8th house significations

are due to children??

[Via NK]

Not commenting on the qualities, etc, rather the opposite –

It's the 8th lord in the 5th,

and not the 5th in the 8th.

Gurus, please help/guide me in analyzing this the correct way.

Thank you,

Prital

[Via NK]

Hope some of this helps you. Keep up the good learning.

Take care. Best wishes and warm regards,

Nitin.
