The chart is

suffering due to birth on Mandakini Sankranti (Sankranti on a Thursday) and

this will ruin the houses lorded by Jupiter – Jupiter is 8th lord

aspecting 8th house, and will indicate the end of marriage/relationship.

Now if 8th and 9th lords are linked to each other, then

this end can be through the death of spouse. Here the dispositor of Mars is

joined Jupiter – hence the link.

by a malefic, check for any curses involving those malefics. Reason being

that the suffering of the curse, will hit the houses lorded by those

malefics. Here Mars lords Upapada. You will see that curse of uncle is

working in the chart. But your right that Upapada is otherwise strong and

hence they attempted to marry.
