Guest guest
Namaste Poolat ji, I happen to have both Jupiter & Saturn (2nd & 3rd lord) in my lagna (Dhanus), along with 8th lord moon. Saturn in lagna and Rahu in 9th house constitute strong balarishta yogas and I could have very well gone the way of my three elder brothers, who died as infants. If Saturn in lagna is beneficial for longevity & health of the native, I would like to know why Parasara classified it as a balarishta? Why reduction in longevity is supposed to occur when Saturn is posited in lagna? Shouldn't it give "vriddhi" of longevity? "Karako bhava naashaya" is true to a large extent, but that also does not absolutely hold true when the karaka planet is inherently strong. Saturn, the karaka for longevity, does not cause reduction in longevity when in own house or in exaltation. For example, I have Sun in the 9th (Leo) with Rahu & Mercury, and my father passed away 3 months back, and he was pushing 90 years! If I am alive today at 44, I know it is only because of the benediction of Guru in lagna and Venus (though a functional malefic, is basically a benefic) in a kendra from lagna. I was born during Venus-Jupiter-Saturn and it was literally the "raksha" given by my Guru that protected me from balarishta. I await your responses in the matter. Guest guest
Namaste LakshmiJi, Thanks for your nice explanation. I aggre with you, but with my little knowledge , I think Mr. P.S.Ramanarayanan's understanding makes sense with respect to the dictum as mentioned in the bellow.
