Guest guest
Hello Kumanan: >From what I understand, Combustion is a physical phenomenon, which has no bearing on the house placement. In practice besides moon, ketu and Rahu every other graha can experience combustion regardless of which rasi the sun is placed in. Unlike other grahas, Venus is combust when it becomes retrograde otherwise it tends to pass in front of the Sun and is not rendered as weak. Now what does combustion do? It usually ends up making the sun give results of the planet being combust and the combust planet looses its vitality. Recently we had a discussion on this group where Visti-ji and others were discussing having more than 3 planets in Kendras. This would typically cause Parv-Rajya Yoga making one take up Sanyas. However, if any of the planets are combust the person will only have a desire to do that. In your case, see if venus is placed strongly in navamsa as well. In Rasi looks like it forms a malvya yoga (being in it’s moolatrikona in the 10th). Venus is also causing a Neecha-bhanga Raja yoga by being 10th from the lagna in it’s own house. Venus is also raja-yogakaraka (being 5th and 10th lord – Kendra and trikona lord). Venus+Mer in10 if it somehow associates with Saturn, then it will also form a raja-dharma karmadhipathy yoga. All in all, it looks good. Sun/Ven periods should be beneficial. Hope this helps. I am not able to understand this from the books.Consider this scenario in my birth chart. Sun, Venus, Mercury and Mars (within the combustion range) are together in the 10th house (libra). Jupiter is in the second house (retrogade) and aspecting the 10th house. Sun is debilitated in the 10th house. Now here is where I get confused.Since Sun is debilitated in the 10th house does it mean that Combustion will not take place ?If Combustion does take place, does it mean that Venus, Mercury and Mars should be considered weak for all predictions ?Will Jupiter's aspect influence the Combustion ?Since Sun is present should we treat this as just combustion and not as planetart war ?I would really appreciate your help on this. Guest guest
Dear Jai, Thank you for your reply and detailed analysis. In Navamsa, venus is not as strong as in Rasi chart. It is placed in the 11th house along with Mars in Mars house (Scorpio). I have always been interested in reading puranas, religious principles / values and philosophical books. But I don't consider myself spiritual yet. So I agree with your assesment that I will not become a Sanyas this life. If Sun is debilitated and weak, can it still combust other planets in its combustion range ? Thanks again, Kumanan ----------------------------- Date of birth : 24/10/1974 Time : 12:03 PM Place : Chennai.
