Guest guest
||Om Brihaspataye Namah|| Dear Pradeep, Pran, Vinay and Ramanarayanan, Thank you for the feedback and comments in this puzzle. I commend Pradeep for his handling of the puzzle by giving various clues but without revealing the actual problem (rather the native has not told him the actual health problem!) so that we have to work harder to use the astrological axioms to nail the problem. This is definitely getting interesting with the entry of Pran and Ramanarayanan. So far, I had purposely restricted myself to rasi & navamsa in an attempt to trace the problem broadly because unless we nail the problem from the rasi then only we can confirm it in the divisional chart. But now with the advent of Ramanarayanan’s attempt, it looks like I will have to delve deeper to trace out this health problem. Pradeeps statement “…the native never went to school till 17/18…” is very revealing and supports my original statement that the problem is related to Me, which incidentally is the 4th lord (primary education)! So now it is clear that this health problem is from birth and serious enough to prevent normal schooling. But his intelligence (Ju in lagna aspecting 5th house & 9th house [graduate education and beyond] as well as 5th lord in 5th although the direct aspect of 3 malefics is also there) is unaffected as evident from the fact that he has a masters degree in engineering and works in a top IT company! Really, the blessings of Ju alone in lagna! Vinay, you know that 8th house shows nija roga and 6th house shows agantuk roga (drista & adrista [badhak & badhakesh]). Nija roga means that the disease is from inside and because of our past karmas at birth so we must use the kalapurusha to trace out the problem area but when considering agantuk roga, we use the 6th house/lord position with respect to lagna to find the problem area. That’s why if 8th lord is connected, then we use the body part represented by Scorpio to find out the problem. Its clear from Pradeeps email that accidents/injury to hip region/brain problems etc are ruled out. Its also clear that the problem warrants surgery but cannot be done until the body is big enough to absorb the shock of the surgery (may require a lot of blood transfusion or some such thing). But you are right when you say that the involvement of both the co-lords of 6th house in the 2nd (eyes) and 10th (eyesight) led to problems in eyesight. However its clear that this is only a secondary problem (note that the karaka for surgery is present in 2nd house!) Pran, you are right in stating that 7th lord in 1st aspecting the 7th house is by itself not enough to give break in marriage but have you considered the fact that it is also badhakesh for Ge lagna? The fact that the marriage was cancelled shows that the badhakesh effect is definitely there but the retrogradation means high chesta bala and the native has tremendous will power to overcome the tribulations. Plus the 7th lord in 1st shows that the native is born to fulfill some strong desire and conditional dasas are applicable here to trace the fulfillment of this desire. Of course as Ramanarayan has shown, retrograde badhakesh can also indicate that the health problem is difficult to cure and requires tremendous efforts. Very correct of Ramanarayanan (hereafter abbreviated to PSR) to point out the dagdha tithi. When I analysed the chart yesterday using panchanga principles, I noticed this and hence asked whether the father was very unhappy at the time of birth of the native. Pradeep, please confirm this point. But it seems that PSR is using this principle to trace the problem to Mars (lord of ekadasi tithi). I thought as per VRA, dagdha tithi indicates some problem with father only. Pelvis region (akin to hip region) has been ruled out and chest region is indicated by 4th house rather than 3rd house. Moreover lung infections are external in source and cannot be connected to chronic problems present from birth. But your point about bringing in the decanates is very correct. I am not sure about the badhakesh analysis done by PSR and will study it in detail later. Other points are good. Still much more to write but I am running out of time. So I will make another attempt to trace the health problem considering the feedback from Pradeep. Once again I cling to my statement that Me indicates the problem and here I look at it from the angle of 4th house (as pointed out earlier) instead. Now Me is the lagna lord and 4th lord placed in 6th along with 3rd lord Su who is the dispositor of the 8th lord. Mars, the 6th co-lord is debilitated in 2nd house of Cn while the other co-lord is placed with the 2nd lord in 10th aspecting the 4th house which also has Rahu in it. With reference to the kalapurusha, Cn represents the chest region while the 4th house also shows the same. Moon-Ketu combination in a watery sign shows some physical damage. Now considering that the karakas for blood (moon) and red blood cells (Mars) are both involved, I would guess that the native was born with some defect in his heart. This could possibly be a hole in his heart which required time to cure. Ok I will stop here and wait for feedback. Regards Hari New and Improved Mail - Send 10MB messages!
