Guest guest
NASA publishes planetary data in their website. Unfortunately many of the Indian Almanacs ( Panchang ) do not explicitly state the assumptions . Example the town or Lat- Long of the place for which the values are published. Some of the local persons in the know may have idea about if the data is based on say Madras or Sri Rangam ( A town 200 miles south of Madras ) etc. In trying to work out the calculations from the NASA data and relate to Indian Panchang , to check their accuracy , I am looking forward to partnering with some members to further the work. If any member is interested in the same, please reply. A strong Mathematics / Physics / Astronomy / Engineering background is preferred.
