Guest guest
If any of you follow cricket closely then you would be aware that approx 10 Days before the Final of Asia cup ( 1St AUGUST) an eminent astrologer of KOLKOTTA came on ESPN Star sports and very arrogantly predicted that India will beat Pakistan and that on 1August India will win the ASIA CUP, and WHAT HAPPENED ? INDIA LOST TO PAKISTAN and ALSO LOST THE ASIA CUP on 1AUGUST. BUT EVEN more ridiculous is the interview of FAMOUS ASTROLOGER BEJAN DARUWALLA WHO PREDICTED INDIA WILL WIN ASIA CUP,INFACT DARUWALLA PREDICTED THAT VAJPAYEE WILL BE PM AND INDIA WILL LOOSE TO PAKISTAN IN CRICKET SERIES IN APRIL2004(he said this on TV IN MARCH 2004).I AM PUTTING HIS INTERVIEW HERE readers judge ,THESE FAMOUS COMMERCIAL ASTROLOGERS ARE THE BIGGEST ENEMY OF JYOTISH. Guest guest
Dear Sudeep, Your point is very valid. We see commercial astrologers bragging with their predictions and they sulk like cats once these predictions come wrong. But the fault does not lie with astrology. The fault lies with us the so-called scientific minded people who are not prepared to accept astrology as a science. Dont we find opinion polls coming wrong, economists forecasts proving wrong, doctors diagnosis coming wrong, meteorological predictions wrong or even laboratory investigations giving wrong results. But we dont crib at these and take all these as normal- within the 5% standard error a Statistician says is normal in human and machine behaviour. We pray to God morning and evening and does He give us all we want. No. But still we continue praying. What lies at the heart of all this is faith which tells us that despite occasional misses, it is worth relying on. Even in the interview of Bejan Daruwalla at least one prediction about the rains coming in August is correct. When Murli Manohar Joshi the former Minister of Education suggested introduction of Astrology as a part of the syllabus, our "scientists" objected and there were processions in Calcutta against this step. Despite the fact that it has since been upheld by the Supreme Court, . the pseudo secularists continue to include astrology as an item in saffron agenda and cry against it from housetops. We have to treat astrology as a science inherited by us out of hundreds of years of research by our sages. Just because we cannot link it with our meagre and incomplete parameters of "scientific" reasoning doesnot make it absurd. So inculcating such an emanicipated thinking in our closed minds needs Faith as a first step. It is only when people particularly Hindus have faith in their religion, culture and epics that an awakening will start. Next will follow the opening of minds, quest for our ancient knowledge and striving to learn the nuances of astrology as part of that great knowledge of Bharatvarsh. In the end will follow respect for this knowledge which is now acclaimed by business, medicine and psychologists all around the world. Guest guest
||Jai Ramakrishna|| Dear Pranji,Sudeep ji and other members, I wont agree with Sudeepji fully.Astrology is not fully explained in our life. Two people will explain in two different angles. Both are right in their own method of thinking.Astrology needs to be explained. While saying i can recapitulate the words of Prof.K.S.krishnamurthy.He said,"Astrology today is incomplete and needs to be vastly supplimented. No one is in possession of all findings of our sages.Whatever we may have today is only a part of what they have left behind. So,with what the little literature we posses,we have to understand the fundamental principles and then by regular and strenous work develop it". Thus we mustn't blame an astrologer for whatever wrong he may predict. If any astrologer's predictions is 60-65% correct, then it is enough. You can call him a good astrologer.Lastly,I have renowned astrologers in Kolkata( i am not mentioning his name),who has predicted everypeople's future accurately, but i have seen some cases where every predictions came opposite according to his predictions. So,astrology is not an easy task.I will say that for all astrologers here, even me(for i am an idiot in astrology)and other renowned astrologers( i am not mentioning the names). Even week before of Asia cup final, I told my family members that India is not going to win the Asia Cup final, rather Sri lanka has got more chance of winning the final. For this,I didn't apply astrology, but applied my intuition.Freewill and devotion are those subjects where astrology cannot play any role so predictions change due to those things. Thanking You. ||May the Blessings of Shree Ramakrishna Always Protect Us|| ||Jai Jagannatha|| ||Om Shanti!Om Shanti!!Om Shanti!!!Hari Om Tat Sat!!!|| ||Shree Ramakrishnaarpanamastu|| ,Vedic Astrologer.
