Begining Jun 5 till June 11 and the Center being on 10.0pt;font-family:Arial">Jun 8th 2004 (Universal Time/GMT). This is when the Nodes of Venus conjoin Sun and Venus. (Like when nodes of Moon conjoin Sun and Moon there is Solar eclipse). During this period a small dot of shadow will be seen in the Sun caused by Venus. Please refer http://sunearth.gsfc.nasa.gov/eclipse/transit/TV2004/TV2004-Sun1b.GIF In this transit we see that the Venus is going south wards from Jun 5 to Jun 12 So Venus is Conjoining the southern node (Ketu of Venus). Also NOTE that the Venus is Retrograde during this time. Isn't Venus is combust only when it's retrograde and in front of Sun?. Corrections/Comments are welcome.
