Guest guest
Dear Sushmita, Everybody has his own opinion on which year to use. However the standard texts tell that Solar year is to be used for Kranti, Chandra Mas for Pitrukarya like shraddha and Savana man for Ayu, Dasha etc. Chandrashekhar. Guest guest
There was no response from anyone regarding the NASA scientist's remarks. What is the meaning of Kranti, Chandra Mas does it mean 30 days? I was unable to understand how exactly to use the Savana years, 360 deg years, can you pls explain for matters re marriage, career, diseases etc which ones to use. I was wondering if you could formulate the names of the standard texts and which one propogated which year for my further references. Did the sages Parasara and Jamini have different views on the above subject. Guest guest
Dear Sushmita, Nasa scientist had only told Mr. Rao that he uses Lahiri ayanamsha. Most of us do that, so no comment was thought necessary. Try to read Graha Laghava or any other book on vedic astronomy and you will understand the difference in various time measurements. I am pasting the relevant shloka for your information. Name of the book is also given. dEv}ivlas daivajïaviläsa saEre[ raiÇidvyae> àma[< S³iNt kala ;'zItyí, saureëa rätridivayoù pramäëaà skranti kälä ñaìaçétayaçca| ïuitSm&it àae´ivx< ivvah< yaÇaidsvR kyiNtyaNÔ<. çrutismåti proktavidhaà vivähaà yäträdisarva kayantiyändraà|| ôIgÉR zuXyagm sUtkaid kalavbaex> olu savnen, strégarbha çudhyägama sütakädi kälävabodhaù khalu sävanena| na]ÇÉanen tu me"gÉaRiNvinidRzeda yurip àjanm!. näkñatrabhänena tu meghagarbhänvinirdiçedä yurapi prajänam|| Cloud formation and age of the person be seen from Naakshtramaana.
