AUM GURUBYO NAMAH

Dear Nemani and other members,

i have not participated actively in the group for quite some time now. i thought

i can atleast join now. i wish to share some of the flashes that passed through

when i was going through a small book of Munshiji on Veda vyasa.

Krisna dvaipayana(veda vyasa): - Father when did you start chanting the vedas?

Parashara:- My grandfather, Vasishtha, was the patriarch of all the sages in

Aryavarta. He conversed with the Gods and they chanted him the Veda, with its

words, cadence and accent in all their purity.

Dvaipa:- Could grandfather really talk to the Gods?

Muni;- Yes.

Dvaipa;- Can you talk to the Gods yourself, father?

Muni:- Yes.

Dvaipa;- What was the age when you were taught the Veda?

Muni:- I learnt it when I heard grandfather chanting it.

Dvaipa:- Did not your father teach you anything?

Muni:- My father could not, he was killed in battle. i was in my mother's womb at the time.

Dvaipa:- How could your grandfather teach you to chant the Veda before you were born?

Muni:- He did that; Gods had given him powers which no other man ever possessed.

The Muni pointing out the seven Primeval sages(ursa major) said:- That star is vasishta.

Dvaipa:- Will you become a star, father?

Muni:- I can if I uphold the veda.

Dvaipa:- If i uphold the veda will i too become a star?

Muni:- Yes of course.

Let me stop the story here. let me bring out the flash that passed through.

Janma Nakshatra:- Janma + Nakshatra.

Janma means MOON, while Nakshatra is our original abode/home. It is because of

the Moon that janma takes place and we scale down to bhoo loka. What is to be

done to go back to our home?

This is what is aimed at when one starts chanting "Om bhoo, bhuva, swa,

tatsivitur ..........." Mantra. To remind us everyday that we are living in a

place other than our home and that we should take all necessary steps to raise

oneself so as to reach ones home.

What does the word swa mean? Swa means our own(swarga loka).

To trace back to our home what is then required is Mano nasa/annihilation of

mind. This is possibile when one sticks to one's word. Sticking to one's

word(standing by one's word) is what is known as dharma. When one sticks to

one's dharma the mantra chanted comes to one's rescue and helps in the

annihilation of mind and upliftment to one's own abode(griha pravesha).

The tenth house in the horoscope is called as the swargaloka. This tenth house

is called as the meridian(top of the head). Remember what draupathi did in the

sabha of duryodhan? She lifted both her hands and folded it atop her head and

sought help from Krisna. Krisna responded immediately.

The 2nd, 6th and 10th are called as artha trikonas. Moon, Buda(product/result of

Moon) and Mars(concealed energy of Moon) are exalted in these houses in the

horscope of Kaalapurusha. Mantra(2nd) can help a great deal in facing

punishments(6th) of past karma and at the same time help perform good

karmas(10th) in this janma in the name of the Lord.

Sun is exalted in the 1st house. Keeping Sun as sakshi(observer) if one indulges

in the sacrifice(dana is manushya dharma) of mind(upavasa) then

Kamatrikona(sagara) is crossed and Mokasha the destination(home) is reached

with ease.

OM DURGAYAI NAMAH.

Best wishes.

Hare Rama Krishna

Namaste PS RamaNarayanan Ji,

Welcome back to the list and it was a such a nice explanation

on the Janma Nakshatra, Thanks remembering this question

whichI have asked about 8 months ago.

Now, can you please clarify the following doubts for me:

1) I know 10th house is called swargaloka and its Adhipati is

Lord Indra, then a question comes to my mind, i.e, how this

10th house is connected or realted to the other two

Artha Trikona's houses (2nd and 6th houses).

Is this means that one has to have the resources(2nd) and

overcome the obstacles (6th) and then do the Swadharma or

the Karma (10th). Then where are the fruits of this deed,

which is represented by 11th house, but that house is not

part of Artha Trikona ?

2) You have mentioned "Remember what draupathi did in the

sabha of duryodhan? She lifted both her hands and folded it

atop her head and sought help from Krisna. Krisna responded

immediately.". I did not understood the meaning behind this,

please explain, what is the connecition between keping the

hands folded atop of her head and then Krishna's immediate

response.

Sorry for many questions, but your reply will help me to

understand a little bit deeper meanings.

Regards

Raghunatha Rao
